CMTI has the mandate to foster innovation in manufacturing technology, provide a collaborative environment for new product and process developments, develop industry ready engineering talent and service industrial aspirations in manufacturing technology advancement. A concerted policy deployment move by various national level stakeholders like the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, National Manufacturing competitiveness Council (NMCC), Department of Science & Technology (DST), etc. has opened up new exciting avenues for expanding the horizon of Research activities of CMTI. The Institute is striving to build a viable and sustainable Technology Development Platform through a basket of new initiatives meant to provide opportunities for talented Engineers to blossom into futuristic technology developers of India. The Institute has modern laboratories and facilities for carrying out Industry application oriented research in the areas of CAD, CAM, CAE, CIM, Ultra precision, Micro and Nano-technology, Rapid Prototyping/Tooling, CNC application, Virtual manufacturing, Mechatronics, Hydraulics, Noise & Vibration, IT in manufacturing, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for outstanding Post Graduates/Doctorates in Mechanical/Electronics/Material Science/Metallurgy Engineering with consistent good academic record (with aggregate average of not less than 70% in Degree and PG) and aptitude for R & D. The Prospective candidate should have R & D work experience in a reputed Institute/Organisation, in the areas relating to Design & Development of High precision Machine & Machine Tools / Special Purpose Machines, Manufacturing, Micro & Nano Technology with track record for having involved in R & D work /Project Execution. The candidates who have worked in R & D related Project execution work in any of the above areas and those with consistent record of publication of Technical papers in leading National & international Journals/conferences will be given preference. SELECTION / PLACEMENT AND REMUNERATION: Based on the candidate's qualification and experience: 1. The Candidates with Post Graduate qualification in Engineering with the above background and minimum one year post qualification experience will be considered for appointment as Scientist-B' in the Pay Band of Rs.15,600Rs.39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/-. Total emoluments, at the minimum of the pay band, would be around Rs.43,000/-PM. 2. The Candidates with Post Graduate qualification in Engineering with the above background and minimum five years post qualification experience will be considered for appointment as Scientist 'C' in the Pay Band of Rs.15,60039,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/-. Total emoluments, at the minimum of the pay band, would be around Rs.51,000/- PM. 3. The Candidates with Doctorates in Engineering with the above background and minimum six years post qualification experience will be considered for appointment as Scientist 'D' in the Pay Band of Rs.15,600 Rs.39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7,600/-. Total emoluments, at the minimum of the pay band, would be around Rs.70,000/- PM. Candidates with more than 10 years of post qualification experience with exceptional track record of qualification and experience, may also be considered for Scientist 'E' position in the Pay Band of Rs.37,400Rs.67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/-. Total emoluments, at the minimum of the pay band, would be around Rs.88,000/- PM. AGE LIMIT: Maximum age limit - 30 years for Scientist B, 35 Years for Scientist C and 45 years for Scientist D /E. SERVICE CONTRACT: Selected candidates may have to execute a Service Agreement enjoining to serve the Institute for a minimum period of two years excluding the period of probation.
