-The primary mission is to provide mobile sales service to officers and

troops ivith respect to the items noted under "Functions" above, in the communi
cations zone as far forward as the railheads.
.The mobile unit reaches its most
effective usage when serving troops in bivouac or troops- who have not been able
to establish thuir own static post exchanges.
Items to be sold are designated
by proper authority. These items ara procured from depots operating within;the.
communications zone or from other sources as directed.
Authorized individuals,'
organizations and messes as designated by proper authority,- :may -purchase -from
Sales Companies.. Records and accounts are maintained -as directed. -in existing
regulations or current orders, nobility of the company is limited due to. there
being only one trailer per section in which stock can be carried, -This necessi
tates .re-supply each 2-4 hours which prevents the -unit, when mobile, .from operat
ing more than a days turn-round from- base of supply.
