Academic Achievement - It is imperative that we take steps to improve the level of academic achievement school district. Our results are not the sole responsibility our staff, administration

and Board of Education. The methods we are using today are not providing the results
expected and it is time to review them, and if necessary, seek outside consulting services from experts in the area of school improvement. Community Involvementlove to the opportunity Painesville is a city with history and pride in their schools and a community that would
to "give back". I would like to reach out to businesses and individuals in the community to
encourage them to participate In the educational process of our students. By sharing real world experiences with our children, they may be exposed to careers and ideas that they may never have learned about through their daily coursework. Accountability - Everyone in Painesville has an Interest in how effective our schools are at educating our children-
from the local business that may hire them after graduation, to property owners that want to see home values increase, to city leaders that want to attract businesses and new residents to Painesville. The Painesville city local schools have seen little, to no improvement on our state report card for many years now, and if we continue to year after I would review the practices accept this behavior, we never will. We cannot continue to renew the contracts of our administration, year, if we are not getting the results we know our students are capable of providing. and methods used to perform job evaluations on our administrative expectations that they have of our children.

As a parent of two children in our schools, I understand that we have many terrific educators in our district, but the perception of our schools is not good. Painesville is a small school district with many for our students to become involved in activities that they enjoy - from sports to business leadership the poor results we have achieved as of late on the State Department of Education report Painesville residents should demand a safe,
