Vertebrates

ANIMALS

Are multicellular eukaryotes with specialized cells.

Their nutrition is hetertrophic (herbivores, carnivores or omnivores), have high sensitivy and ability to move.

Vertebrates: with backbones

Mammals Birds Reptiles Amphibians and Fish

MAMMALS
Limbs in the form of legs, except in aquatic, fins and bat wings.

Body covered with hair. Mammary glands. Homeotherms, of constant temperature.

Pulmonary respiration.

Viviparous (the young are born live of the womb)

Food varied.

HUMANS

No tail. Four limbs: arms and legs (bipedal).

Short hair and many sweat glands.

The mother feeds the baby through her mammary glands.

Newborns are helpless for a very long time. Brain much better developed than other mammals.

Our main system of communication is language, wich is highly developed.
