1. Weigh 37g of white petrolatum. Label and set aside.


2. Weigh 5g of Aquaphor. Label and set aside.
3. Weigh 3g of Drug B. Label and set aside.
4. Measure 5ml of Drug X 25% aqueous solution in a 10ml cylindrical graduate.
5. Incorporate the 5ml of Drug X 25% aqueous solution into the 5g of Aquaphor until a uniform
product is formed.
6. Levigate the Drub B powder into a small amount of white petrolatum until a uniform product is
formed. Incorporate this product into the rest of the white petrolatum using geometric dilution.
7. Incorporate the Drug X/Aquaphor mixture via geometric dilution into the Drug B/white
petrolatum product until a uniform product is formed.
8. Pack the ointment into a clean 2 oz. ointment jar ensuring pharmaceutical elegance.
9. Label, affix an “External Use Only” label and any other appropriate auxiliary labels to the jar,
and dispense.
