Research Experience
2006 Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, India.
Presently I am undergoing winter training under the supervision of Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma. The
lab deals with the effect of light dark cycles on various behaviors of drosophila.
Topic: Effect of agonist and antagonist of d5HT1B on the locomotor activity of drosophila thereby
assessing the rhythmic expression of d5HT1B receptor gene.

2006 Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India.

I wrote term papers on
1. “Fuzzy logic controlled high inactivation process of Lacto coccus lactis".
2. “An artificial neural network to predict the outcome of prostate biopsy".
under the supervision of Prof. Sudhir Kumar Barai.

2006 National Center for Biological Sciences, Bangalore, India.

Conducted summer training work under the supervision of Dr. M.M.Panicker.
Topic: Are Serotonin Receptor genes under circadian control? This is done by determining the presence
of canonical and non canonical E-Boxes in the upstream region of the receptor genes. E-Boxes have an
important role to play in circadian control.

2005 Indian Institute of Technology. Kharagpur, India.

Conducted winter training work under the supervision of Prof. S.Das Gupta and Prof.S.Dey.
Topic: Isolation of pectin using Electric Field enhanced Ultra filtration.
