Transactions Process
Quick notes Consumer originate quote requests Dealers get quote request in real time and respond Settlement can be physical or near-real-timeelectronic. Automatic lock-out deters settlement default.

The forex.co.ke consumer foreign exchange trading platform executes the following steps to conduct a transaction. A forex consumer enters the forex.co.ke url on their browser via a computer, tablet pc or internet enabled smart phone. The consumer inputs a structured query. This structured query is sent to all dealers. No user identity or dealer identity is exposed until a transaction is agreed between the parties. Once a transaction is agreed a transaction reference number & terms and conditions are generated. The customer proceeds to settle the transaction with the dealer. The dealer marks the transaction as settled or the customer gets locked out of the system until he does.
