LIVES!
Dear Friends,

30,000 children have already died in the last 3 months.

This situation is so serious that the Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd announced that the government would match any donations to a Horn of Africa appeal.

Imagine being able to say I saved a life. What would that mean to you?
Or what if you could provide a dependable food supply to starving communities? How would that make you feel? Being able to rescue children from malnutrition and dehydration is possible; You just need to know how. Knowing that 30,000 children have already died from starvation, malnutrition and disease just breaks my heart. Now I am pleading with you to read this email together with an open heart and mind. Being human means that we all have a responsibility to humanity - to act now and do all that we can to help save lives. Apart from saving lives, your help can: Reduce the risk of long-term physical or intellectual disabilities in children as a result of severe malnutrition Establish supplementary feeding stations for young children at early childhood centres

This email is not like any other email you have received from me. Today I am asking you to Open your heart and make a dierence to peoples lives.
Here's why: Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya and 'Somalia are experiencing the worst drought in 60 years. Crop failures as a result of the drought have led to unbearable food crisis. In Somalia, the combination of severe drought and civil upheaval is forcing mass migration to neighbouring countries such as Ethiopia & Kenya and Djibouti which are struggling to provide relief to their own population.

Provide iron and vitamin A supplements to reduce the risk of impaired eyesight/blindness It is pivotal to understand that the magnitude of this disaster cannot be underestimated. Support from global communities is the only way to prevent millions of children and their families from dying. I am delighted to know that:

You can choose to look after your own health by giving up smoking for instance (if you are a smoker) and donate the savings to help save a life. How good would this one single commitment make you feel about yourself? I can assure you, by giving you will receive back tenfold! Now here is something about me, the author Sue Ismiel. I lead a Global Organization Sue Ismiel & Daughters Group and am the founder of Nads (www.nads.com). For many years I had sponsored one child in Ethiopia. When my global business began to prosper, my deepest desire was to reach out and to help others. So I began supporting many charity organizations. My involvement with ChildFund Australia at that point was through a single sponsorship. I decided that I could help more than one child, so I picked up the phone and asked for 100 more children. This was almost 20 years ago. Today, I am also proud to say that I am an Ambassador for ChildFund Australia! In 2009 my youngest daughter and I made the trip of our lives to Ethiopia to visit out 101 sponsored children. Unlike my other business travels, I came back home to this land of opportunity and put my life into perspective. I know now that there is a more profound reason for striving to succeed in life. I believe that the reason I was put on this planet was to thrive and in turn make sure that others can live a life of contentment and peace of mind.

The Australian public are responding with generous donations. The governments Horn of Africa Dollar for Dollar Initiative means all donations are doubled, ensuring urgently-needed additional support can be generated.
By being willing to help save lives, you will certainly experience the true meaning of fullment and achievement. You will discover that there is more to life than just taking care of your own needs and desires. That in fact we are all connected as human beings and the suering of others is truly our own suering. The cost of helping save a life is so minimal BUT the rewards are signicant! Have you been looking at ways to help someone in need? Now is your chance to get started. In doing so you will develop compassion for others and experience the greatest law of life: The law of giving and receiving.

Yes, starting a business from the ground upward and turning it into an international success was a life changing moment, naturally; but it was the moment I changed peoples lives that I felt true contentment and success. - Sue Ismiel
