About Vijeo Historian V4.20
Thank you for purchasing Vijeo Historian V4.20. Vijeo Historian is a powerful, enterprise-wide reporting tool that collects, stores and delivers reporting data from multiple, disparate systems. Vijeo Historian V4.20 utilises an embedded Microsoft SQL Server, and provides a combination of powerful data storage and performance. The result is an accessible, easy-to-use and secure reporting tool that reduces total cost of ownership. Furthermore, the simple roll-out of familiar MS SQL server industry-standard technology results in reduced installation and training times and reduced cost. Before You Start: The Vijeo Historian V4.20 package includes: > Vijeo Historian Server > Vijeo Historian Web Portal > Historian Reports Deployment Manager > OPC HDA Server > Time Server Synchonisation Collecting, storing and reporting data are all achieved using point-and-click methods, allowing non-technical users to easily interface disparate control systems with business level databases to perform production reporting, batch reporting or simply view plant data remotely. 1. To minimise conflicts with other software, we recommend a clean format with only the required prerequisite software installed. 2. Verify that your machine meets the pre-load software requirements. 3. Verify that your machine meets the minimum hardware requirements. 4. If you intend to connect the computer to a network but are not currently connected to one, ensure the Microsoft Loopback adaptor is installed and enabled. 5. Ensure you have a Vijeo Historian license key available. These are available for both parallel ports and USB ports. 6. If connecting to Vijeo Citect Lite and Vijeo Citect, ensure your license has been updated to allow a Vijeo Historian connection. 7. For Vijeo Citect connectivity, please review
