Descripcin Batera reemplazable que sirve como fuente de alimentacin para Notebook. Cuando el computador est funcionando o cargando, se produce calor en el interior del Notebook y se lo transfiere a la parte trasera del chasis por el sistema de disipacin para enfriarlo. El adptador tambin puede producir un poco de calor durante el uso normal. El Notebook y su adptador deben, por tanto, no ser utilizados en las piernas o en otra parte del cuerpo por perodos prolongados durante su uso, tambin evitar el uso del Notebook en superficies suaves (Ej. Sof) ya que podra bloquear el ventilador de calor e interferir con el enfriamiento.

1-3 Configuracin de su computador

1. Instalacin/Remocin de la Batera
Por favor instala la Batera antes de utilizar el Notebook y conecte al adptador de alimentacin externa. El Notebook puede ser alimentado por la batera o por el adptador externo. Si usted est en un ambiente de oficina, le recomendamos utilizar el adptador externo en la medida de lo posible. Si usted est lejos de oficina y no hay enchufes disponibles, utilice la batera en su lugar. Instalacin de la Batera Paso 1: Voltee el Notebook y tenga la parte de atrs de la batera hacia arriba. Ahora empuje el final de la batera del Notebook contra el contacto metlico en la ranura de la batera del Notebook de manera uniforme y lenta a travs de los rieles de la batera. Paso 2: Presione el final de la batera del Notebook con el contacto de metal completamente dentro de las ranuras de la batera. Cuando ste haga Clic, significa que el pestillo de la batera ha enganchado y ahora la batera est asegurada al Notebook. Paso 3: Empuje el seguro de la batera ligeramente hacia el interior para asegurar la batera en su lugar.

Remocin de la Batera Paso 1: Apague el Notebook. Desconecte todos los cables y dispositivos. Paso 2: Voltee el Notebook y abra la cerradura de la batera empujndola hacia exterior. Paso 3: Empuje las Ranuras de la batera hacia afuera y mantngala en su lugar con sus dedos. Ahora use otra mano para tirar la batera hacia afuera.

No remueva la batera mientras el Notebook an est funcionando. Esto podra daar los datos en su Disco Duro.

2. Conexin del adaptador de alimentacin

El adptador de CA proporciona fuente de alimentacin externa a su Notebook y carga la Batera al mismo tiempo. El adptador de CA tambin tiene un diseo de conmutacin automtica que puede conectarse a cualquier enchufe de CA de 100V ~ 240V. Paso 1: Conecte el cable de alimentacin al socket de adptador de CA. Paso 2: Conecte el conector de adptador de CA al puerto CD de Notebook. Paso 3: Conecta el otro extremo del cable de alimentacin a una toma viva.

1-4 Utilizacin del Touchpad

1. Introduccin al Touchpad El Touchpad es como un mouse de computador. Es sensible a la presin del dedo del usuario y genera un voltaje que es usado para controlar los movimientos del cursor y emitir rdenes. El Touchpad es sensible a los movimientos del dedo. Simplemente se mueve un dedo a travs del Touchpad para controlar el movimiento del cursor en la pantalla. Bajo el Touchpad hay dos botones. El botn izquierdo es como el botn izquierdo del mouse y se usa para seleccionar opciones o la iniciacin de programas en la pantalla. El botn de la derecha trabaja de la misma forma que el botn derecho del mouse. El botn lock sirve para bloquear o desbloquear el touchpad.

2. Un solo Toque/un solo Clic Para seleccionar una ventana de funcin o presionar un botn de cono, mueva su dedo a travs del Touchpad para mover el cursor hacia la ventana o botn a seleccionar. Ahora toque el Touchpad con su dedo para realizar la accin. Esta accin es equivalente a presionar el botn izquierdo del mouse. Puede tambin presionar el botn izquierdo del Touchpad para el mismo efecto. 3. Doble Toque/doble Clic Para abrir un archivo o documento, mueva su dedo a travs del Touchpad para mover el cursor al archivo que desea abrir. Ahora rpidamente toque dos veces el Touchpad con su dedo para realizar la accin. Esta accin es equivalente a presionar el botn izquierdo del mouse dos veces. Puede tambin presionar dos veces botn derecho del izquierdo para el mismo efecto. 4. Arrastrar Mueva sus dedos a travs del Touchpad para mover el cursor hacia el objeto que usted desea arrastrar. Ahora mantenga apretado el botn izquierdo del Touchpad con una mano y mueva el cursor al lugar deseado. Libere el botn y complete la operacin de arrastre. Puede tambin hacer doble toque en Touchpad sobre el objeto que desea arrastrar y mantener el dedo en el Touchpad despus del segundo toque para realizar la operacin de arrastre con una mano.

Ampliar y reducir con dos dedos: Mueve dos dedos separados o juntos sobre el touchpad para ampliar o reducir. Se trata de una funcin muy til a la hora de ver fotografias o leer documentos. Girar con dos dedos: Haciendo dos yemas de los dedos ligeramente abiertos para dibujar un crculo concntrico en el touchpad para girar la foto o el documento que usted est viendo. Usted puede hacer una rotacin en sentido horario o antihorario segn sus necesidades. Desplazamiento con dos dedos hacia arriba, hacia abajo, o hacia la izquierda y hacia la derecha: Haciendo dos yemas de los dedos ligeramente abiertos a deslizarse hacia arriba/abajo o izquierda/derecha en el touchpad para desplazarse por una ventana hacia arriba/ abajo o izquierda/derecha.

Instalacin de un nuevo sistema Windows 7 en Notebook

Asegurese de tenerlos listos: Una unidad USB DVD, un CD de controlador de Notebook, un CD de instalacin de Windows 7. Antes de continuar : Apague su computador. Conecte la unidad USB DVD al puerto USB del Notebook y conecte el cable de alimentacin a un enchufe AC

2-1 Configuracin de BIOS e Instalar un nuevo sistema Windows 7

1. Encienda su Notebook, y despus presione <Del> para entrar en la configuracin de BIOS durante el proceso POST, establezca la unidad USB : SONY DVD-ROM D (nombre de la unidad DVD) como 1st Boot Device en el men "Boot" -> "Boot Device Priority", y despus guarda los cambios y sale de la BIOS.

2. Inserte el CD de instalacin de Windows 7 en la unidad USB DVD. 3. El computador se reiniciar, y se inicia a cargar los archivos para instalar el sistema Windows 7. 4. Despus de esto, Windows se iniciar y salta un cuadro de dialogo Install Windows para configurar Language to install, Time and current format y Keyboard or input method. Cuando todas las particiones estn vacas, la configuracin mostrar el tamao ms grande de su disco duro. 8. Para asegurar que todas las funciones puedan trabajar correctamente, Windows crear particiones adicionales para los archivos del sistema. Por eso puede ver una particin de 100MB reservada por el sistema despus de crear una particin. Seleccione la particin de 70 GB y haga clic en Next para continuar. 9. Desde este paso comenzamos a instalar Windows 7 en su disco duro. Durante este proceso, su computador se reiniciar varias veces.

2-2 Instalar los Controladores en el nuevo Windows 7

1. Luego de instalar Windows 7 completamente, usted tiene que instalar los controladores necesarios antes de utilizar su Notebook. Extraiga el CD de instalacin de Windows 7 desde la unidad USB DVD, e inserte el CD de controladores. Espere unos segundos, el men principal se depslegar en la pantalla.

2. Seleccione estas opciones para instalar todos los controladores para su sistema. Usted debe hacer clic en "Intel Chipset Driver" para instalarlo primero y despus haga clic en "One Click Setup" para instalar todos los dems controladores restantes, o puede hacer clic en cada controlador individual para instalarlos manualmente. 3. Luego de que todos los controladores hayan sido instalados, usted necesita reiniciar su Notebook, para poder utilizarlo.

4-2 Recuperacin del sistema Linux

Recuperar el sistema desde el DVD
1 Arranque desde el DVD. Encienda el computador, inserte el DVD de instalacin del sistema en la unidad DVD, presione "F11" para seleccionar arrancar el sistema desde la unidad DVD. 2 Seleccione la forma de instalacin. Cuando la figura se muestra como a continuacin, seleccione"Install and make recovery partition", el sistema ser instalado y una particin de recuperacin ser creada. O seleccione "Install system only", el sistema ser instalado sin recuperar la particin, as recuperar el sistema desde el disco duro es imposible.

When the computer is running or charging, heat is produced inside the Notebook and transferred to the back of the chassis by the heat dissipation system for cooling. The transformer may also produce a lot of heat during normal use as well. The Notebook and its transformer should therefore not be placed in the lap or on any other body part for prolonged periods during use. Also avoid placing the Notebook on a soft surface (e.g. sofa) as it might block the heat vents and interfere with cooling.

1-3 Setting Up Your Computer

1. Installing/Removing the Battery
Please install the battery before using the Notebook and connect the external power supply transformer. The Notebook can be powered by the battery or the external transformer. If you are in an office environment, we recommend using the external transformer as much as possible. If you are away from the office and no power socket is available, use the battery instead. Installing the Battery 1. Turn the Notebook over and have the back of the battery facing upwards as well. Now push the end of the battery with the metal contacts into the Notebook's battery slot evenly and slowly along the battery rails. 2. Push the end of the Notebook battery with the metal contacts completely into the battery slot. When there is a "click", this means the battery latch has engaged and the battery is now secured to the Notebook. 3. Push the Battery Lock inwards lightly to lock the battery in place.

Removing the Battery 1. Shut down the Notebook. Disconnect all cables and devices. 2. Turn the Notebook over and unlock the battery by pushing the Battery Lock outwards. 3. Push the Battery Latch outwards and hold it in place with your finger. Now use the other hand to pull the battery out.

Do not remove the battery while the Notebook is still running. This may damage the data on the hard disk.

2. Connecting the Power Supply

The AC transformer provides external power source to your notebook and charges the battery pack at the same time. The AC transformer also has an auto-switching design that can connect to any 100V AC - 240V AC power outlets. 1. Plug the power cord into the power socket of the AC transformer. 2. Plug the connector of the AC transformer to the DC port of Notebook. 3. Plug the other end of the power cord to a live power outlet.

The connector of the power cord for the power outlet may vary depending on the local national standards. The appropriate connector will be bundled with your Notebook. Please always use the connector to connect the power outlet. The connector shown here may not match the type included in the box and is provided for reference only.

1-4 Touchpad Usage

1. Introduction to the Touchpad
The touchpad is like a computer mouse. It senses the pressure from the user's finger and generates a voltage that is used to control the cursor's movements and issue commands. The touchpad senses finger movements. Simply move one finger across the touchpad to control the movement of the cursor on screen. Below the touchpad is three buttons. The left button is like the left mouse button and is used for selecting options or launching programs on screen. The right button works the same way as the right mouse button. The lock button is to lock or unlock the touchpad.

2. Single Tap/ Single Click To select a window function or press a button icon, move your finger across the touchpad to move the cursor to the window or button to select. Now tap the touchpad with your finger to perform the action. This action is equivalent to pressing the left mouse button. You can also press the left touchpad button for the same effect. 3. Double Tap/ Double Click To open a file or document, move your finger across the touchpad to move the cursor to the file you wish to open. Now quickly tap the touchpad twice with your finger to perform the action. This action is equivalent to pressing the left mouse button twice. You can also press the left touchpad button twice for the same effect.

4. Drag Move your finger across the touchpad to move the cursor to the object you wish to drag. Now hold down the left touchpad button with one hand and move the cursor to the desired location. Release the button and complete the drag operation. You can also double tap the object you wish to drag and keep the finger on the touchpad after the second tap to perform the drag operation with one hand. 5. Multi-finger Gesture Input

You can make a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation based on your needs. 2-1 Setting BIOS and Install a new Windows 7 system

1. Power on your Notebook, then press <Del> to enter BIOS setup during POST, set "1st Boot Device" to "USB : SONY DVD-ROM D"(DVD drive name) in "Boot" -> "Boot Device Priority" menu, the figure is shown as below. And then save changes and exit BIOS.

2. Put the Windows 7 Install CD into the USB DVD drive. 3. The computer will reboot, and it will start loading files for installing Windows 7 system. 4. After that, it will start Windows and come out a Install Windows dialog box to set the Language to install, Time and current format and Keyboard or input method. Click Next to continue and click Install now button to start the setup. 5. When the license terms appears, select to accept and click Next to continue. 6. It then asks you to select the installation type. Click Custom (advanced) to install a new copy of Windows.

7. The setup will display the hard disk partitions (160GB, in this example) of your system. If there were other systems (such as Linux) installed previously, you need select them and click Drive options (advanced) -> Delete to delete them. When all partitions are clean, setup will display the biggest size of your hard drive. 8. In this biggest hard disk size screen, you can click Drive options (advanced) -> New to create partitions as you need. In this example, we are creating a 70GB partition to install Windows, and click Apply to continue.

To ensure that all Windows features work correctly, Windows might create additional partitions for system files. So you will see a 100MB partition reserved by system after you create a partition. Select the 70GB partition and click Next to continue. 9. From this step we start to install windows 7 into your hard disk. During the process, your computer will restart several times.

10. When the installation is complete, setup will prepare your computer for the first use. Then you can follow steps to select system settings, create an account, set a password...etc, until the whole process is complete and enter Windows 7 system.

2-2 Install Drivers in Windows 7

1. When the Windows 7 is completely installed, you have to install the necessary drivers before using the Notebook. Take out the Windows 7 Install CD from the USB DVD drive, and put the driver CD inside. Waiting for a few seconds, the main menu will be displayed on the screen.

2. Use these options to install all the drivers for your system. You must click "Intel Chipset Driver" to install it first. After that, you can click "One Click Setup" to install all the other drivers, or you can click on each individual driver to install it manually. 3. After all the drivers are installed, you need to restart your Notebook, then you can start using it. 56
