Episode 1: First Princess

Episode 1: First Princess

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Ian. He was a good boy. He listened to his parents. He studied long and hard. He mastered fencing and horseriding. He ate healthy and spoke politely. He went to sleep on time and woke up at the right hour. All in all, Ian grew up with a strong, solid upbringing. But Ian was very unhappy. He had no one he could really talk to. Do not misunderstand. Ian had a younger sister named Genevieve and a maid named Callie. He had his parents too. Ian wasn't isolated. And they were very nice people to Ian. This was not enough for Ian though. He wanted a friend. A male friend in particular he could spend time with. As if his wish was granted, a boy his age entered his life. Ian was around ten, then. It was during a family trip when he met this boy. Actually, this boy tried to rob his wallet. That was part of the past though. Ian was a good boy after all. He managed to befriend this street urchin. This street urchin was nameless so Ian gave him a special name. Bogancio. Bogancio was his name. But why this name? Bogancio was the first person to make Ian laugh. Ian had never sincerely laughed in his life before he met Bogancio. Bogancio was a funny person. Soon enough, Ian and his family arranged Bogancio to be Ian's fool, which was basically a jester. His family liked how Bogancio was able to make Ian laugh. That was the story of how Bogancio received his name. Bogancio was synonymous for fool. Growing up, Ian became extremely attached to Bogancio. They became the best of friends. One day, Ian's parents sent him to boarding school so that he could interact with others, especially those of the opposite gender. Ian didn't mind. He was obedient to his parents. He wanted Bogancio to come along too. His parents weren't fond of the idea. But in the end, Ian managed to convince his parents. Ian was very happy. At Jasmine Academy, Ian met many others like himself. All these boys and girls came from wealthy and influential families. Ian felt insecure. Everyone was like him. They were all handsome, rich, intelligent, and skilled in every way possible. They came from different backgrounds, but they had the same strong upbringing. Everyone around him were the future leaders of this country- the best of the best. Overall, it was a world of perfect people. And in the middle of it all was Bogancio. *** Master Ian! Master Ian! At the loud screams, Ian removed his eyes from his heavy textbook and toward the window of his dorm. He lived on the third floor, but he was currently in the study room on the second floor. Outside, he noticed his fool Bogancio grinning and waving up at him from the lower grounds. The other boys in the room could hear Bogancio bothering Ian during his study time and rushed over to the nearest windows to shake their heads at the fool. A fool is a fool is a fool. What lousy upbringing. Bogancio's poor. He's basically leeching off Ian.

Ian threw open the window out of embarrassment from the others and shouted down, Fool! I need to study for midterms! Smirking, Bogancio turned the visor on his head backwards. Your loss, Master Ian. I thought of a new technique for you to talk to the ladies. The effect was immediate. All the boys rushed out of the study room and joined Bogancio on the lower grounds. Ian was the only one left in the study room with a dropped jaw. Bogancio, that fool! How dare he chose this time of all time to continue their lessons! As Ian headed downstairs, he thought how much he had distanced himself from Bogancio these past few weeks. At home, he considered Bogancio his greatest friend and ally in the family. Bogancio was the only reason why he hadn't gone insane from the workload his family piled him up with. But in school, their relationship was different. Due to peer pressure and how different Bogancio was from his classmates, Ian couldn't really talk to Bogancio in a crowd. There was another completely unrelated reason though... Hi Bogancio! Ian narrowed his eyes. He saw it coming. On their way to the bookstore, a crowd of girls passed by and only greeted Bogancio as if the rest of the boys didn't exist. They were still waving after him, even after they passed by already. Ian glanced at the other boys. All of them were irritated too. How strange, Ian thought, that in books he read, girls were supposed to fall for the perfect, handsome gentleman. Bogancio was none of that. Bogancio was just Bogancio. Maybe they pity him, one boy in his grade had suggested once in the study room. Because he's poor and ugly? But that doesn't make sense. These girls are the same as us, aren't they? Jasmine Academy was an unforgiving school. Since everyone was born rich and proud, the boys loved to gang up on Bogancio, who stood out like a sore thumb. Moreover, Bogancio was too popular with the girls and too carefree with his grades and status for their taste. In a world where everyone was perfect in every way from intelligence to looks, they considered Bogancio an outsider who wondered his way in and somehow managed to stay. I only called Master Ian down, Bogancio grinned widely at the others. He stood near the staircase. What are you guys doing here? Does it matter? asked the others. Ian knew he shouldn't side with everyone else against Bogancio, but there was nothing else he could do. Even though all his male classmates secretly disliked Bogancio, they always tagged along whenever Bogancio was giving Ian lessons in picking up girls. They knew that if it were Bogancio, they could learn a thing or two. As for Ian, he wanted a girlfriend for a while now. He felt that by choosing his own girlfriend, he could free himself from his parents' influence. Knowing them, they would pick his future wife for him if he couldn't do it himself. Now was the best time as any. The trick, Master Ian, is, said Bogancio, putting on his fake pair of glasses on his nose, to put on a show and catch their attention first. Ian blinked. How? Let's take this stairway for example.

Yes? Do you notice the unwritten rule of going up and down the stairs? At the question, the other boys shook their heads, including Master Ian. Bogancio chuckled under his breath and brushed his fingers through his dark hair. Without explaining it to them, Bogancio went ahead and climbed up the stairs. The other boys watched in interest to see what Bogancio was up to. Bogancio purposely stayed on the left side of the stairs. After days of observation, he noticed that whether people go up or down the stairs, they kept to their right. People followed the same rules as cars on a two-way street it seemed. In other words, if he kept this up... A few seconds later, Bogancio was face to face with a silver-haired female student heading downstairs. She moved to her left to dodge him. He followed her. Confused, she bounced over to her right. He was still blocking her. Some of the boys smacked their foreheads once Bogancio and the girl began to apologize to one another. Ian groaned, mentally telling himself not to do this. Please, Bogancio said, standing aside. The female student smiled back. Thank you. Once she went passed him and reached the bottom of the stairs, she glanced over her shoulder at him. Since Bogancio was still there and staring at her, she blushed bright red and scurried on her way. The other boys managed to catch her face up close and began muttering to each other about Bogancio. Satisfied with his display, Bogancio went back down the stairs and wiped his hand of imaginary dust. See? Worked like a charm, Bogancio proclaimed. You try it, Master Ian. I will have to decline, said Ian abruptly. That's no fun, Master Ian. Ian sighed. Studying's no fun either, but I have to do it. You don't have to do it, said Bogancio, countering. That's easy for you to say, you fool. Watching his Master leave the building while the other boys chatted among themselves on Bogancio's new technique, Bogancio decided that it was best to leave his Master alone for a while. He was already invited to several outings by his female classmates so he might as well go now and have some fun before he had to deal with Ian's temperament later in the evening. *** That evening, Ian and Bogancio went their separate ways. For years now, they had always ate dinner together. Today was the first of the many upcoming days when they decided to eat away from one another. For Bogancio, he was surrounded by girls in a fancy restaurant off-campus. He held his head up high and told stories of his childhood adventures with Ian. Of course, Bogancio was never one to tell the whole truth so he exaggerated every event to death. Luckily, none of the girls noticed since he was so convincing. As for Ian, he was so busy studying in the library that he forgot about dinner. His parents would have been proud. In the midst of his studying though, Ian had discovered something important in trade-off. Something so important that he was willing to summon Bogancio to his room on the evening before exams. This rarely happened. Oh, Bogancio stuck his tongue out at the sight of the other person in Ian's room. It's you.

The person Bogancio was referring to was Callie. To Ian, he considered Bogancio his greatest and closest friend. This however did not mean that Ian only talked to Bogancio on his personal matters. On the contrary, Callie, Ian's maid, knew more about Ian than Bogancio. It was not Bogancio's fault, though. Callie grew up with Ian. She was born to be Ian's maid. She even received permission from the office to enter the boys' dormitory at night despite her gender thanks to her position as Ian's personal maid. In other words, Callie was Ian's best female friend and Bogancio's worst enemy. Master, said Callie, pouring tea into a cup for Ian. Why is the fool here? Ian picked up the cup carefully by the handle. I asked him to. Callie doesn't understand, Master. Callie doesn't have to understand, said Bogancio, imitating a noble dialect. Callie can simply leave because Callie is stupid. Ian nearly choked on his tea. Fool! The maid bowed next to her Master. Callie is hurt, Master. I do not understand, said Ian, allowing Callie to wipe the tea on his shirt. Fool, must you treat your senior like so? Callie is no senior of mine, Bogancio responded. She is younger than me. Callie pouted. What Callie lack in age, Callie makes up in maturity, grades, and service. Master Ian, said Bogancio. His patience was wearing thin. I can't talk with her around. Callie had a devious gleam in her eyes. Callie is honored to make the loud fool speechless. Shut up, stupid maid! You and Callie have been bitter enemies since forever, said Ian. The two of them turned their heads toward their Master. But this weekend, you both must act as friends, for my sake. What is the matter, Master? asked Callie in a sweet voice. Bogancio frowned. I don't like the sound of this. Getting up, Ian went up to the nearest wall and stood there for a few seconds. Behind his back, Callie and Bogancio were glaring at each other. At last, Ian released a long, heavy sigh. He pressed his hand against his chest and held his head up high. This was enough to catch the other two's attention. I'm in love, Ian declared. What? asked Bogancio. When? Callie bounced up and down. Callie is so happy for Master! Bogancio pushed her to the ground and shouted, You're so annoying! I'm trying to talk to Master Ian here! Master, Callie cried. The fool attacked his senior! Enough, said Ian, turning around angrily. Since Ian was paying for both of them to attend boarding school with him, Bogancio and Callie decided it was best not to test his patience. Tired, Ian went back to his chair and collapsed in it with his head in his hands. Callie awaited for him on his right. Bogancio stood next to him on his left. They were both too curious about this love interest to leave the room now. As you both know, Ian started. The two became more alert. I am horrible

at socializing with women. Callie is happy Master can talk to Callie so naturally then! That's because he doesn't see you as a real woman. Master, the fool is making fun of Callie again! Ian bit his tongue for a few seconds before he continued, But a few hours ago, I managed to talk to a nice young lady by accidentally following through with that stair trick the fool taught me earlier. Bogancio grinned. Told you. Stair trick? asked Callie, glancing at Bogancio. It doesn't concern you, stupid maid. Anything related to Master concerns Callie because Callie is in charge of Master's well-being! Before they could argue again, Ian coughed and said, You've met her already, fool. She's the same girl you bumped into earlier during your demonstration of the stair trick. Bogancio blinked. Oh? Do you know her? Am I supposed to? Listen, Master, said Callie, smiling. Bogancio knew this was bad news. The fool is a philanderer. It is not unusual that he cannot remember every girl he has come in contact with, unlike Master. What did you just call me, Callie? Bogancio demanded. Philanderer. What is that supposed to mean? How uneducated, fool. Ian slammed the table to force them attention back to him. The short story is that I managed to ask her out on a date. Callie pushed Bogancio aside and beamed at Ian. Congratulations, Master! You did it, Master Ian, said Bogancio in awe, steadying himself and patting Ian on the shoulder. Did you ask her out to a romantic dinner somewhere? Unfortunately, it is not that type of date, said Ian softly. What type of date is it? Bogancio asked. It's a friendship date. Lame, Master Ian. Do not call your Master lame, you fool! Callie chided. Not only that, Ian said, groaning. It's a group date, too. Group date? asked Callie with wide eyes. Group date implies that there are more than two individuals so... At the apologetic smile on Ian's face, Callie gasped. Oh no, Master! No, Master! No, no! *** On the way back to his room, Bogancio was in a bad mood. Callie was glaring at him from behind. This weekend, in order for Ian to be with the girl he was currently in love with, Bogancio and Callie had to join them. Bogancio and Callie hated the very thought of it, but since this was the first time Ian managed to not only talk to a girl correctly but to ask her out on a group date, they had to both sacrifice themselves for his sake. It was their jobs as his maid and fool. I'm letting you know, Bogancio, said Callie in a stern voice. That this is a group date, not a double date.

Thanks for the clarification, you two-faced maid, said Bogancio over his shoulder. He stopped and turned around to her. What happened to the 'Callie this' and 'Callie that'? Why don't you use that sweet, fake maid voice you use around Master Ian? And what is with your attitude toward me today? It's even worse than usual. Listen here, you puny, lanky, stupid, uncivilized barbarian, said Callie, forcing Bogancio against the wall with the back of her arm against his neck. I will not rest happy until I get you fired. Who are you to be best friends with my Master? Still as hostile as always, said Bogancio, shaking his head. Callie giggled. You do understand that the minute Master gets himself a girlfriend, he will no longer need you to rid him of his boredom. Our friendship is not that weak, Callie. Suit yourself, Bogancio, said Callie, removing her arm from Bogancio and throwing her light pink hair around. She began down the hallway. Don't come begging me for help when you're out on the streets where you originally belonged. Pink head, said Bogancio, calling after her. Callie whirled around to face him. Stop sounding like a jealous unrequited lover. Callie exploded. For the last time, I am not in love with Master! Sure, you're not. Go to hell, Bogancio. Bye bye, Callie, said Bogancio, waving after her. I can't wait until this weekend so I can torture her during our date. *** Fool, said Ian on the day of the date. You are not to torture Callie during this date. But Master Ian! Bogancio whined. That is an order, Ian said sternly. Bogancio sighed and lowered his head obediently. Yes, Master Ian. Callie has already given me her word that she shall behave as ladylike as possible, Ian said, combing his blonde hair. Is that even possible? asked Bogancio in disbelief. As for you, said Ian, frowning at Bogancio. You are not to say a word unless you're addressed to. No talking? Yes. Correct. But! Not a sound out of you. Bogancio looked like he was in pain. It's impossible! Bogancio began shaking Ian's arm. You know it's impossible, Master Ian. You know I have nothing going for me except for my mouth! Ian ignored him, but Bogancio wouldn't stop. I'm short, poor, ugly, thin, and stupid! I am nothing compared to you, Master Ian! All I have is my social skills! If you are nothing compared to me, said Ian angrily. Why is it that you are more popular with the girls than I am? It's because you're shy! Ian scowled. You will not get in my way this time, you fool. If I am shy, you

will have to be antisocial to make this group date work. Do you understand? Yes, Master Ian. Will you be speaking on this group date? Bogancio shook his head. I will not screw this up for you, Master Ian. I will keep my big mouth shut unless I'm addressed to. Good, said Ian, relieved. Thank you. This is important to me. Smiling weakly, Bogancio muttered, I know. *** Since Bogancio told Ian that coming later than the rest of them would make an impact on the girl, Bogancio found himself stuck with Callie in front of the restaurant. They already reserved seats, but thanks to their lower status, they couldn't bring themselves to sit down before their superiors. Of course, if Bogancio went alone, he wouldn't care. Callie on the other hand was nit-picky for etiquette. Who is this girl anyway? Bogancio asked, making conversation. The silence was unnerving and scary around Callie. Callie pointed at Bogancio. You don't even know who she is? Nope. Does the name Karenana ring a bell? I'm horrible with names. How are you popular with the girls again? Bogancio gave her a thumbs up. It's in my genes! I'll never get rich women, said Callie, placing her hand on her hip. If there is a perfect girl in existence, it's Karenana of the third years. Perfect women are boring, Bogancio said. That's what Momma taught me. You have too many Mommas. Bogancio threw her another thumbs up. Ninety-eight Mommas to be exact! This is Momma Number Seventy. Coughing, Callie ignored Bogancio and continued, Karenana is the heir to the largest Gothic Lolita clothing branch in this country. So? Everyone's rich. Well, said Callie stubbornly. She is one of the top ten students of the third years! But everyone is smart... She's modest, sweet, kind, and beautiful beyond compare! Bogancio had a bored expression on his face. Compared to you, everyone is. Why am I trying to convince you anyway? asked Callie, irritated. That's what I want to know, too. Biting her bottom lip, Callie said, You'll see for yourself once the President of the Charity Club gets here herself. Bogancio poked a finger in his ear. She better have boobs or I'm calling shenanigans. How vulgar, said Callie, taking a few steps from Bogancio. That's why you'll always be poor at heart, fool. Right when Callie and Bogancio were ready to attack each other with words, a girl ran over to them in a black lolita outfit that would make her parents proud.

Yes, it was the infamous Karenana. Like Callie described, Karenana was an extremely pretty girl with long, silvery hair and mesmerizing ocean-blue eyes. Despite this, Bogancio stared at her chest instead until she reached them with a bright smile on her pale skin. Good evening, Karenana greeted. I'm terribly sorry to keep you waiting. No problem, said Callie, transforming into her perky maid self again. Nice to meet you, Miss Karenana. Master will be here in a few moments. I'm so glad, said Karenana, turning to Bogancio. Good evening. Bogancio lifted his eyes up to her face. Good evening. Please don't mind him, said Callie sweetly. Bogancio is quite antisocial. Remembering what he told Ian earlier, Bogancio nodded and pulled on an extremely cold face. Karenana blinked and went back to chatting with Callie. Since Bogancio was bored out of his mind thanks to his inability to talk, Bogancio began to think of ways to get free dinners for the rest of the week. At long last, Ian approached them in his best suit. Unfortunately though, his shyness kicked in. G-Good... evening... No, Master, thought Bogancio in his head. You have to say it confidently! At Ian's lame response to Karenana's greeting, Karenana simply tilted her head slightly and said, This is such a pleasant surprise. Please take good care of me. Bogancio watched her walk alongside Ian up front and inside the restaurant first and thought, In more than one way, I hope. I saw you, said Callie in a threatening voice to Bogancio. They were walking in the back together toward their table. I was checking her out for Master Ian, Bogancio said in a straightforward face. Callie rolled her eyes. Master isn't like you, you barbarian. He likes women for their personality. He's a real man and a gentleman at heart. What bull shit, said Bogancio. You should watch your language, said Callie warningly. Yeah. Fuck off. I'm pissed. At the fancy restaurant, Bogancio became increasingly irritated at the sight of his master and Karenana chatting about current events. She was talkative while Ian was shy and only muttered several words here and there. For Bogancio, this sight annoyed him because he had never went through a day this long before. He never knew how fast time past when he just ran his mouth on any topic he could think of in front of his female friends. Right now, he had to pretend he was a mime and imagined Karenana in every cosplay outfit possible since she was the heir to a Gothic Lolita Clothing branch. Even that couldn't lift his mood. More so because he couldn't read the menu of these rich people and ordered the same thing as Ian. Are you holding another charity event next weekend? asked Callie in her sweet voice. Karenana beamed. Yes, we are. Please come if you can. Of course, said Ian softly. Thank you for the invitation. Yes, Callie is so happy! Glancing in Bogancio's direction, Karenana asked, How about you, Mister Bogancio? Bogancio picked his head up from the appetizers on the table at being

addressed to. However, he soon noticed Callie shaking her head at him and Ian looking more nervous than before. Sighing, Bogancio had no choice. He was actually going to attend that event with some of his lady friends since they asked him last week, but it looked impossible now. No thank you, said Bogancio at last. Karenana had a hurt look on her face. Are you sure? It will be so much fun. We will be holding a charity run for cancer patients. At the thought of running on a dirt track for fun, Bogancio muttered, I'll be busy that day. Busy? Jerking off, thought Bogancio. Out loud, he said, I'm religious. Oh, Karenana gasped. It can't be helped, then. Thank goodness Bogancio is a good liar, thought Callie and Ian at the same time. After that short conversation, Bogancio went back into his own little world where he was laying in the middle of a garden with all his mothers. He was a happy boy back then. Sure, he was poor and they were poor, but they were happy and poor together. He traded all that to live rich and regretted it right now. I cannot wait for dessert, said Karenana sweetly as the waiter came with their orders. I love bananas. Karenana blushed and added, Banana splits, of course. Bananas... Ian said lamely. All the perseverance, patience, and willpower Bogancio had left were utterly destroyed at the sight of his food. There was a boar head staring up at him. Bogancio lived with pigs before. He didn't know they were called anything other than pigs. He jumped up to his feet. Holy, fucking shit of Osiris. Everyone in the restaurant turned toward Bogancio in surprise. Since this was an expensive restaurant not far from their boarding school, there were a handful of students here. Otherwise, it were full of middle-aged politicians, celebrities, and the likes. In other words, cursing was not allowed here. Bogancio didn't know better. Bogancio paled at everyone looking at him. Karenana was more than shocked at what she heard. Usually, he would run away right about now, but since Ian was glaring at him, Bogancio lowered his head in shame. Fuck my dick, said Bogancio accidentally out loud. He gaped. He had been keeping his mouth shut for so long that he couldn't remember when he was thinking or talking anymore. Oh fuck. Shit. Callie swooned. Good bye world. Karenana, Ian said, turning to Karenana with a pale face and wide eyes. I apologize for my fool's lack of decency. Much to his surprise, Karenana burst into laughing fit behind her right hand. Bogancio blinked. Ian gawked. With every passing second, she seemed to be laughing louder than the last. She licked her bright red lips by the end of it and picked up her spoon. She struggled to start on her food, but found it impossible now. Since she was a lady of high class in such a magnificent school, she soon managed to eat without another sound. However, the dear Master lost his appetite completely for the rest of the night. ***

Master! That night, Bogancio banged on Ian's door three times, but to no avail. His master was deaf to his calls. Angry, Callie could no longer control her temper once they reached Bogancio's room. She had held it back for the rest of the meeting with Karenana. That took a lot of effort on her part. Now that no one was around, Callie pushed Bogancio against the nearest wall and screamed at him without restraint. She should not be blamed however for her crude behavior since Bogancio was at fault for supposedly ruining the evening for her and her Master. I'm telling you, pink one, Bogancio said, sighing. With my social skills, I will teach Master Ian the ways of picking up girls in no time. He should forget about her. Master is in love! Love, Bogancio repeated. He's not really in love. How do you know what love is? asked Callie, appalled. Little did Callie know, Bogancio was in love once before. At the age of five, Bogancio was actually in love with a beautiful black puppy he found on the streets. Since Bogancio had to steal and lie for survival, his puppy learned how to help him get away without getting caught by the police. Bogancio even taught the puppy how to pull wallets out of bags without making a sound. Bogancio loved that puppy. He would have done anything to keep that puppy alive. You're right, Bogancio said, leaving. Fools don't know how to love. Callie released him and placed her hand on his hips. You will fix this. Why do I have to fix this? Because you're the one who ruined everything for Master! What bull shit, said Bogancio. Even if I didn't do that, she wouldn't be interested in Master Ian anyways. She's a lost cause. Believe me. You're impossible! Why are you in my room again? Are you a slut? Narrowing her eyes dangerously at Bogancio, Callie stomped out of his room before she turned around and said, You're so disobedient and out of line, Bogancio. Must I remind you who is paying for your tuition? Your fees? Your food? Everything? Get out of here, said Bogancio after her. Who needs you people anyways! Right after Bogancio slammed the door shut and sat down in his seat, Bogancio thought about his life from here on if Ian were to abandon him. Poor Bogancio. He was such a simple-minded person and with a short attention span to boot! He could not think of a future without his master. He was too used to Ian's presence in his life. Throwing himself on the ground where he usually slept, Bogancio knew that he had no choice. Whether Ian and Karenana would end up as a couple by the end of this, Bogancio couldn't care less. All he wanted was for them to reconcile so that Ian would stop sulking and Callie would stop annoying him to death with threats. Bogancio picked up a pen with one hand and a dictionary in another. Tonight, he was going to write an apology letter and he had better make sure not to misspell anything. *** Although Bogancio and Ian were the best of friends, they chose not to speak

to each other the following day and the next. They had an easy time avoiding each other too. After all, Ian was a year higher than Bogancio. At Jasmine Academy, there were first years, second years, and third years. Ian was a third year, Bogancio was a second year, and Callie was a third year. In other words, they were meant to never speak again. This was how it should be. Hello Ian, Karenana greeted in the middle of the hallway. Ian blushed and nodded. Hello. How are you? Good. Karenana smiled sweetly. That's good. She continued on her way. Have a nice day. Lowering his eyes, Ian muttered a goodbye. Karenana hurried on her way to her next class. Ian had no courage to speak to her after what happened. It was humiliating for his fool to step out of line, more so with his presence. How could he ever make up with her? How could he ever speak to her again? The Master felt like he had been rejected before her before he even confessed his feelings. What a terrible feeling for Master Ian. Before Karenana entered her last class of the day, one of the other female students told her that Bogancio wanted to speak to her after school at the rose garden. At the invitation, Karenana's eyes lid up. She wanted to speak to the silent, yet crude Bogancio again after the other night. Thanking the girl, Karenana sat down at her desk and listened to the lecture with a bright smile on her face. She was looking forward to after school. At the end of class, Karenana quickly put her school supplies away when the other members of her Charity Club, who shared the last period with her, went up to her and told her that they were going out to eat sushi before the meeting. Karenana smiled softly at them as she zipped up her bag, ready to go. I'll be seeing all of you in thirty minutes, then, said Karenana. See you later, President! The girls giggled and left the classroom together. The only one left in the classroom, Karenana watched them enviously for a few seconds before she picked up her bag. They never invite me to go with them, thought Karenana. In less than ten minutes, Karenana arrived at the designated location. Bogancio was waiting for her with his hands in his pocket by himself. There was no Ian or Callie. Karenana was surprised and relieved at this. Hearing her footsteps, Bogancio grinned brightly, took off his baseball cap, and bowed toward her. At first, Karenana was puzzled why he did this until she recalled that he was one of the handful servant students who went to this school. Thank you very much for asking me out, said Karenana politely, bowing back to him. It's nothing! said Bogancio. He couldn't stand the sight of someone bowing to him. Karenana, right? Should I call you, Miss Karenana? Karenana is fine. Bogancio laughed. Sweet. The two of them took a stroll in the rose garden quietly. Truthfully, Bogancio disliked flowers in general. He would rather be anywhere, but here. However, the rose garden was the only quiet place after school that he knew of. Everywhere

else, there would be too many spectators around and he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of everybody. Bogancio knew that Ian's reputation was on the line since he was Ian's fool. Do you like roses? asked Karenana suddenly. I hate them and are you reading my mind? thought Bogancio. On the outside, he said, They're cool. There are a lot of roses back at my house. Nice. Karenana released a short laugh. They're mostly there for looks though. It's not like I ever water them or take time to admire them. Oh. But look at them now, said Karenana, licking her lips. They're delicious. Delicious? asked Bogancio, surprised. I mean, beautiful. Yes, they are. Karenana tilted her head. Is there a particular reason why you want to see me? Oh yeah, said Bogancio, taking out a letter from his bag. This is from me to you. Oh? At the sight of the letter, the dear Karenana could hear her heart pounding in her ears. There had been many boys who confessed their feelings to her before, but Karenana had never felt this way before. There was something different about Bogancio. Whether it was because he stood out or invited her when most people avoided her, Karenana was not sure. Blushing, Karenana said, Should I wait to read it? Bogancio shook his head frantically. I would rather you read it now! What a hasty boy you are. Kneeling immediately, Bogancio bent his head and said, I'm sorry! Karenana might be rich, but she had never seen anyone knelt before her. It was an act of subservient and she had few servants at home to begin with. All her servants were middle-aged or older so she couldn't bear to have them do these kinds of things in front of her. Somehow, the sight of this excited Karenana. Please stand up, said Karenana, helping Bogancio up. What is the matter? I beg of you, said Bogancio sadly, keeping his head low. Please do not hate Master Ian because of my big mouth. Why would I hate Ian? Bogancio blinked. You don't hate Master Ian? No, said Karenana, tilting her head even more. I find the whole date delightful. Are you for real? asked Bogancio, losing himself in the conversation. Karenana nodded with a sweet smile. It was... different. Noticing Bogancio's blank stare, Karenana allowed a soft giggle. I like how it became easier to talk after your outburst. Great! Bogancio said, relieved. He held his hand out. Now, I can take that back. The letter?

Yeah. It was all a misunderstanding. Karenana hugged the letter tighter in her chest with a shocked expression on her face. What are you saying? This is my letter now. You gave it to me. You can't take it back. It's nothing special, said Bogancio, reaching out for her. It's only an apology. It's only an apology letter? asked Karenana, clearly disappointed. That's right. Karenana backed away from him. But you put your feelings into this so I want to keep it. I'll read it after my Charity Club. Shyly, Karenana turned her back to Bogancio. I have to go now. I hope we can speak again tomorrow. Bogancio frowned. O-Okay... Quickly, Karenana scurried away with the letter clutched tight against her chest without once looking back at Bogancio. Bogancio stared after her with no color left in his face. No matter how he looked at it, he was doomed for life. He had resolved the last problem for Master Ian, but now, a new and more dangerous one surfaced. Unlike his fellow classmates, Bogancio had lived on the streets long enough to know when a girl liked him. And Miss Perfect Karenana definitely had a crush on him. *** Pointing toward the ceiling, Bogancio had his left foot on top of his desk and exclaimed, And that is how I saved Master Ian from those thieves! From then on, we became best friends! All his female friends clapped and begged him to tell him another one of his adventures out in the streets where all the poor people were and where none of them ever set foot at for more than ten minutes outside of a shop. Even though Bogancio was worried about his situation with Ian the previous day, he soon forgot about it completely after he failed his tests and talked to his lady friends, who made him feel better about his failure at school. Since he came to Jasmine Academy, Bogancio hadn't made a single male friend. The boys of his year and the year above him all despised him. Why? Bogancio didn't care much. Say, Bogancio sat down in his seat. Do you girls know Karenana of the third years? Of course! Is she popular with the boys? Of course! At their chants, the fool Bogancio thought of his funeral where Ian wouldn't even attend because he was so bitter about Bogancio stealing the girl of his dreams. Karenana and his female friends would be there, dressed in black and crying. The next day, Callie would then laugh and step all over his grave. Bogancio liked to live so the image almost made him tear up. Let's say... said Bogancio slowly, fumbling with his hands. Karenana were to like a boy... I feel sorry for that boy. I do too. He would be the most hated person in school. With a depressed expression on his face, Bogancio stared out the window. If Master Ian doesn't kill me, everyone else would. Great. Bogancio laughed

loudly and banged his head on top of his desk. I'm already the most hated person in school. Why do you have to make it worse on me, Karenana? Bogancio, The girls said, patting him on the shoulder. We'll protect you. You will? asked Bogancio, lifting his eyes up at them. There's no need to worry, Bogancio! Someone like Karenana will never fall in love with someone like you! You're such a dreamer, Bogancio! Right when the girls were trying to make him feel better, Bogancio noticed that Karenana was waving at him from outside the classroom. Bogancio jerked his head to tell her to leave, but she didn't understand his signals and stepped foot inside. The other girls could smell another of their kind from a mile away so they moved their heads over in Karenana's direction at once. Hello dear Bogancio, said Karenana with red cheeks. May you join me for tea? How should I put this... said Bogancio, deciding between whether to run or lie. He noticed all the girls gaping at him. Girls? One of them threw her hat at him. Another threw her ring at him. The others threw their handkerchiefs at him. At once, they left the room together and told him that they hated him. Bogancio sighed. That didn't take long for them to abandon him now that they know that Karenana was here to see him. Obviously, Karenana wasn't blind and saw what happened. I am so sorry, Bogancio. Bogancio waved it off. I'll win them back. If you want, said Karenana, sniffing. I will talk to them for you. No, said Bogancio loudly, grabbing her arm and dragging her out of the classroom with him. That will only make it worse for me. Isn't there anything I can do for you? Bogancio opened his mouth to answer negatively when he thought of something. Actually, yes, there is. Karenana tapped her fingers together. Please tell me. Smirking, Bogancio gave her a thumbs up and led her to where Ian would be at at this hour. Yes, this was going to work out. Bogancio should take advantage of this opportunity to fix his relationship with his master. If Karenana were to ask Ian out on a real date now before Ian figure out about her crush on Bogancio, everything would be resolved. When the right time come, Bogancio would reject her gently and have her run into Ian's arms. Perfect. *** Ian, said Karenana, grabbing a hold of a blushing Ian's hands. She leaned toward Ian. May I ask for your permission to- Yes? asked Ian with wide eyes. -date your fool. At the end of that sentence, Callie fainted behind Ian. A couple of students passing by had to run over and help her up since both Ian and Bogancio were busy gawking at Karenana. The silver-haired beauty obviously thought they were happy for her so she clapped her hands and went on about how it took her several days and nights to come to this conclusion. You, Ian said, glaring at Bogancio after he recovered. You!

Master Ian! You traitor! Bogancio dropped to his knees and hugged Ian's legs. No, Master Ian, it's not like that! This is one-sided! Unrequited love! Nothing more! I don't return her feelings! All my loyalty and affection are for you! My dear master! You are nothing to me now. Kicking Bogancio away, Ian turned his back on Bogancio and walked off, dragging an unconscious Callie behind him. Bogancio stared at his fallen cap on the ground. His master had abandoned him. One of these days, he was going to be kicked out of the school. Even if he were to rob a bank, he would not be able to pay to attend such an expensive boarding school. Furthermore, there was no point to attend this school without Ian. It's okay, Bogancio, said Karenana, wrapping her arms around Bogancio's neck and pulling him into a tight hug. He froze at the touch of her chest. If he abandons you, I will take you in. My family makes more than enough money to pay for your fees. Sniffing back tears, Bogancio said, Thank you for your offer, Miss Karenana, but I can only be loyal to my Master Ian. You shouldn't be so hasty. I have nothing left. I should just leave with my pride. Karenana pulled Bogancio away from her and shook her head. That is the last thing you should do. You should stay strong and win Ian back. He is your best friend and master of many years, isn't he? Miss Karenana, said Bogancio, sighing. I thank you for your feelings, but I cannot return them and I definitely cannot date you. Am I not good enough for you? Quite the contrary. Is it because you don't like me? I like you a lot. You're pretty, smart, and nice. Karenana had a sad expression on her face. What is wrong with me, then? You don't understand, Bogancio said, standing up and helping her up. I haven't been completely honest with you. How? It's not just you, but everybody, said Bogancio slowly. I lie about everything. Everything? asked Karenana in dismay. You have feelings for the wrong Bogancio, Miss Karenana. The real Bogancio is lazy, messy, vulgar, and unmotivated. Bogancio placed his hat on his head. I can't keep myself awake in class. I don't really care for most things. Though I am physically fit, I can't seem to pass PE without cheating. Hell. Fuck that. I'm not good at anything. I'm sure that's not true, Karenana reassured. Yes, I lied again, Bogancio said admittedly. I am only good at one thing and one thing only. Bogancio held up his finger to her face to indicate. I can't keep my mouth shut. I can talk for hours effortlessly. Besides that, Bogancio shrugged. I'm just a useless fool. You are not useless, said Karenana sternly. You make me laugh. That's all I'm good for. I'm a fool for a reason.

Karenana placed a hand on her chest. Bogancio, I am willing to learn more about the real you. None of what you said affected me whatsoever. I will talk to you until you tell me more about yourself. Karenana smiled sweetly. Then, you will have no reason to reject me, right? Bogancio groaned. Karenana, that's not the point... I will have you. At her assertion, Bogancio blinked. Have me? The Charity event this upcoming weekend, said Karenana, throwing her silver hair over her shoulder. Please come, Bogancio. It will please me ever so much and, Karenana winked. You're not really religious, are you? You have no excuse. But- Karenana stuck her tongue out and passed by him. At the last minute, she whirled around with a sweet smile on her face. You will join me for tea next time. The fool had no idea that there was a hint of a threat in her tone when Karenana said that. *** From then on, Bogancio made sure to never run into Karenana. Karenana was a third year like Ian. He was a second year. They would rarely bump into each other if circumstances didn't bring them together. Knowing this, Bogancio traveled through the school in such a way that he would never bump into any third years. This way, he could avoid Karenana and Ian for a while. How did it come to this? thought Bogancio to himself on his walk to his dorm. I am supposed to help Master Ian get a girlfriend. Instead, he decides to fall in love with someone who has no interest in him from the start and is now mad at me because she falls for my charms. How do I reconcile with him at this rate? Right when Bogancio climbed up the stairs, a couple of third years pushed him against the wall and continued on their way. The fool knew bullying when it smacked him in the shoulder. However, Bogancio knew he had nothing, but his body and pride at the moment, so he continued upward. They had money and status. They could easily hire people to kill Bogancio if necessary. Usually, Ian would back Bogancio up. This time, Ian turned a blind eye to the bullying since he hadn't said anything to them or stopped them. In other words, Ian was mad. Meanwhile, inside the study room, Ian was busy studying and writing essays. The poor Master believed that if he occupied his thoughts with schoolwork, he wouldn't ponder on the thoughts of either Bogancio or Karenana. His must trusted friend and fool stole his crush away from him. His beloved crush was ignorant of his feelings and wanted his fool instead. There was no end to this madness. At least, the results of his tests were predictable. As long as he studied, he would receive a good grade. Ian, can you please take care of your fool? At the question from the other boys, Ian turned away coldly, He is not my responsibility. Not only has he been making a fool out of us by hanging out with all the girls around here, he somehow manages to entrance Karenana. She has been speaking well of him to her friends and classmates.

The comment stabbed Ian in the heart. Ian lived with Bogancio for years. Bogancio was not the type to betray him. And yet, here his fool was causing everyone else to judge Ian. His reputation had been clean up until now. Ian would not have Bogancio ruined everything. I haven't spoken to him in days, Ian spoke frankly. I don't know what he's up to. You do not care for his well-being, Ian? Ian snorted. For that fool? Don't make me laugh. This was enough to make the rest of the boys turned to one another with wide grins on their faces. They had been waiting for this day for years- the day in which Bogancio was not protected under Ian's influence anymore. They cheered, shook hands, and dashed out of the room with plans in mind. On the inside, Ian was worried about what might happen to Bogancio. After all, their friendship had lasted for a long time and it was only natural for Ian to be somewhat concerned for his former best friend. Still, Ian told himself that what Bogancio did was uncalled for and that for once in his life, he didn't want to bother with the troublemaking Bogancio. Bogancio deserved what was coming to him. *** Laying on the floor, Bogancio was busy reading inappropriate magazines when someone knocked on his door. No one visited him ever. He had been such a lone wolf at this school for so long that he automatically assumed that the only person who could possibly visit him at this hour at night was Ian. If Ian decided to visit him, it meant that Ian had finally forgiven him. Happily, Bogancio bounced over to the door, only to find a silvery-haired maiden. Good evening, Karenana greeted. You too, said Bogancio, dumbfounded. May I come in? You do know that it's against the rules... right? Karenana waved it off and pushed her way in. This is more important than a couple of childish rules. Bogancio eyed her warily. What is so important? I haven't spoken to you in a while. Strange. It's not like I was avoiding you or anything. Both of them laughed at the same time before Karenana became serious and folded her hand on top of her lap. She was sitting on the floor across from Bogancio, who made sure to hide his magazines under the rug before Karenana noticed. At last, Karenana released a heavy sigh and gazed intently at Bogancio. Bogancio, have you decided on whether to come to the charity race? Bogancio rubbed the side of his head. I'll go since I have nothing better to do. Oh good. At the contented expression on her face, Bogancio added quickly, Listen! It doesn't mean I like you or anything! I'm sure you'll like me in no time, said Karenana with an innocent smile on her face. Oh really, Bogancio said suspiciously. To be honest, Karenana muttered, lowering her eyes. I want as many people to come to this charity event as possible. Aside from admirers, I don't have

many friends and I hope you can come as a friend of mine. Is that not fine with you, Bogancio? Still suspicious, Bogancio said, You have too many friends to count. You're popular. I don't have any real friends, said Karenana sadly. I have never went out with any friends on a regular basis. I rarely converse with them on anything outside of the Charity club and mandatory group discussions in class. Karenana laughed warily. It's like I've been completely isolated from the rest of the school population. Why? asked Bogancio, astonished. Karenana shrugged. I was under this impression that you were well-liked by all your peers. I am well-liked, Karenana agreed. So well-liked and well-known that they compare themselves to me and find it troublesome to be friends with someone so 'perfect'. Some claim I give off an all-mighty air so they don't approach me while others say that they don't like hanging out with someone who make them feel worse about themselves. Karenana shrugged again. There are other reasons, but that's about the gist of it. That's harsh, said Bogancio with a long sigh. Blaming on you for their short-comings... Since they want to get along with me and not displease me in any way, they make excuses about how I need to study to keep up my grades as to why they never invite me anywhere, Karenana said sadly. She entwined her fingers. Since everyone around me keep repeating the same line over and over, I am learning to accept it as something natural. Shaking his head, Bogancio said solemnly, Whether it's one or a million who does something stupid, a foolish action is still a foolish action. That is what I think. Touched, Karenana said, Bogancio... that is so sweet of you to say... I can say something profound once in a while, Bogancio said, yawning loudly. Bobbing her head, Karenana leaned over to Bogancio. We are soulmates, Bogancio, because we are the same. Aren't you isolated from half of your peers too? Isolation? Bogancio laughed at the understatement. More like the most hated person to ever grace the school. I know what you mean. It sucks. Yes, it does. Even if we are similar, said Bogancio at last, hesitating. Bogancio learned fully well that giving Karenana the wrong idea was just giving her false hope. We can't just date and have faith that everything will work out. You forgot tea time last time, Karenana said suddenly, standing up and stepping on the area where Bogancio hid his magazine. Please do come over to my dorm for tea some time. Karenana left a note on Bogancio's rug. That is my dorm number. You may see me anytime if I'm in. Karenana glanced at the dark sky outside his window. It is getting quite late. I must leave you, Bogancio. Good night. Good night...

After Karenana closed the door behind her, Bogancio pulled his magazine out from below the rug and said, That was random... *** The Friday afternoon, Bogancio found himself in front of Ian's mailbox. At Jasmine Academy, every student had their own mailbox. For a boarding school this prestigious, they usually received letters from both their parents' workers as well as their parents themselves. Ian was a good boy so he checked his mailbox every day for his parents' letters. Knowing that Ian would check the mailbox once he came back to his dorms, Bogancio dropped his letter inside. Since he couldn't talk to Ian in person, he had to use this method. Heading to one of the stores nearby to buy milk, Bogancio recited the contents of the letter in his head to make sure he got everything down. He got the begging part down. He got the pathetic 'I can't live without you' part down. Despite this, there were a lot of other heartfelt confessions in that letter Bogancio spent the past couple of days on after Karenana visited his room without warning. Not long after Bogancio left, Ian came back to the dorms with his fellow classmates. He checked his mailbox like always. He threw out a couple of insignificant letters. As for the one Bogancio left him, Ian recognized Bogancio's handwriting immediately and went up to his room with the letter in hand. Dear Master Ian... first of all, thank for opening this letter. At the store nearby, Bogancio paid for his milk just in time to notice a bunch of rough-looking men waiting for him. Bogancio gulped and ran the opposite directions, out the back door. They noticed and chased after him. As for Ian at the dorms, he kept his eyes on the letter as he climbed up the flight of stairs. I know Miss Karenana and I have done you wrong. You have every right to never speak to any of us again. But before you make that decision, I want to give you every reason at my disposal as to why you should forgive this poor servant. Running for his life, Bogancio passed by a group of girls in the middle of the quad and pushed past one of his teachers. None of this slowed those men down. If it weren't obvious enough, those men were definitely after him. Most likely, they were hired by some of the other male students to keep him in his place. One, I would never betray you on purpose, Master Ian. Before I met you, I was a street rat who only knew how to lie and steal to get through life. You gave my life meaning and provided me with a home and friendship. For those reasons, I would die for you. At the sight of Callie ahead of him, Bogancio grabbed a hold of her arm and dragged her with him. He didn't care that she was chatting with one of her first year friends. He was never so happy to see her in his life. After a few meters of running, Callie managed to break out of Bogancio's grip and kicked him in the stomach. He fell over and pulled himself up quickly. They were hiding behind a wall. Callie tapped her left foot. What is the meaning of this? There are these huge guys after me! Good, said Callie, huffing. They can take out the trash for me. If anything happens to my face, Bogancio said, paling. Master Ian will never forgive you. You can't lie your way out of this one, you fool. No, seriously, Bogancio cried anxiously. I know you, pinkhead. You might

hate me and want me fired, but you don't want me dead, do you? Bogancio noticed them coming and hid between Callie and a wall. You are not that heartless, Callie. Besides, it will be on your and Master Ian's conscience for life. Master Ian might mourn for me for years and forget you completely. You know that saying about how you can't win against a dead person? I get the idea, Callie interrupted impatiently. What do you want me to do? Can't you go out and use your ninja skills to help your fellow servant? Reddening out of fury, Callie cried, I'm a maid, Bogancio! What do you supposed a maid do? Bogancio shook his head. He really had no idea what Callie's job actually was. He was too busy fighting her more than half of the time. I cook, clean, wash, iron, serve, and all those other domestic chores! What? You don't know any martial arts? Callie shrieked, That's a butler, not a maid! At the sound of her voice, those men figured out Bogancio's hiding place and went over to him with angry expressions on their faces. Bogancio should have known better than to rely on his former enemy for help. At least, she didn't sell him out. Callie had a heart hidden somewhere. With no choice left, Bogancio said, Useless maid! Bogancio pushed Callie toward them and jumped over some rails to head over to where the library and the female dorms were. This time, Bogancio ran so fast that he had to stop and catch his breath in front of the female dorms. He should hide in there and hope that the men were not brave enough to tackle such a forbidden area. It didn't take him long to enter through the front door and right into Karenana. The second reason is in regards to Miss Karenana and myself. The other night, Miss Karenana told me something important about herself. She resided in me about how she was isolated from everyone and that rarely anyone asked her out on dates. The group date we went on must have made her happy. Master Ian, you had made her happy from both your conversation at the library with her and that evening dinner. If you truly like her, I'm sure you would be happy to be informed of this. Immediately, Karenana noticed the men from a distant coming this way. Without another word, Karenana and Bogancio snuck their way up the stairs and avoided all the other girls along the way. It didn't take long for Bogancio to recognize her room number and run inside to hide from his attackers. Bogancio was so worried about saving himself that he failed to notice Karenana locking the door behind her. I believed that from that dinner conversation, Miss Karenana understood that I was another lonely sole like her. We are similar in that we both must endure what others think of us. Because she can sense this, she is attracted to me instead of you; therefore I am to be blamed and not you, Master Ian. You cannot be held responsible for being so perfect and unable to hold Miss Karenana's attention long enough. Once Bogancio was inside, he observed the room around him. The room was quite spacious, much like Ian's room. Unsurprisingly, Karenana had quite a number of lolita outfits on the wall. Otherwise, everything was a surprise. The room was quite dark except for the ray of sunshine that shone through the

openings of the red curtains. Her furniture were of the same blood red color. There was also an odd scent from the candles around him. Bogancio felt a shiver down his spine. Why was Karenana's room so spooky? I learn something valuable from my short time with Miss Karenana, too. Unlike Miss Karenana who has nobody to lean on, I have you, my one and dear Master Ian. Even when I've been an ass and causing heaps of trouble, you always bail me out of unwanted situations. You've saved me endless times from failing certain classes. You've always been there for me and I've always been there for you. Smirking, Karenana leaned against the wall and twirled a key around her index finger, Do you want to have tea with me today, Bogancio? Thanks for your help, but I really should leave right after. Why? Bogancio frowned. I haven't studied and- Oh, darling, Karenana said in a sugary sweet voice. You don't have to lie to me. There's only the two of us now. Bogancio lifted a brow. You don't have to put up a facade for everyone to see. You can be perfectly yourself here, Bogancio. Make yourself at home. Slightly scared of her, Bogancio said in reply, I don't want to intrude upon you for long. Oh, please, said Karenana, going up to Bogancio with a devious glint in her eyes. Please intrude me in any way you like. Bogancio backed away from her. Miss Karenana- Karenana. Karenana, Bogancio said after some hesitation. I realized I shouldn't be here. It's against the school rules for people of the opposite gender to hang out around here at this hour. Bogancio maneuvered around her and went for the door. Thank you very much for helping me earlier. I will accept that tea invitation at an earlier time. Thinking that he had escaped, Bogancio was shocked at the locked door. It didn't unlock from the inside either. There was a single keyhole for a key to unlock the door. Bogancio was afraid to turn around after struggling with the doorknob for the past minute, but eventually, he whirled around with a sweet smile on his face. Karenana had the keys in one hand and a whip in another. Bogancio paled. I've always wanted a man slave, Karenana giggled. I've been searching for so long since all those other boys are too rich, snobby, and prideful to play the role. At last, I have found the perfect candidate. Bogancio tried to laugh it off. Man slave? What kind of slavery is that? Isn't it obvious? asked Karenana, whipping against a nearby table. I'm not really into the whole S & M thing... Karenana pouted and dropped the keys in her chest. Well, too bad. Even if Miss Karenana begs, I will never make her my new Master. I might date her. I might date many girls from now on. You will too, I'm sure, since I am your (ex?) love adviser. But no matter how many girlfriends or lady friends I have, I only need one Master and that is my Master Ian. That will never change. Throwing the letter aside, Ian could no longer sit still in his room and charged out. He went down the flight of stairs and out into the courtyard. Ian

knew that Bogancio must be traveling around on campus again. That fool could never stay put for long. Where could he be? How unfair, thought Ian, running and calling out for his fool's name. The sun was already setting. Why do you have to write such a persuasive letter, you fool? From your dearest fool, Bogancio. P.S. I tried to write as eloquently as possible by copying off this romance novel. Did it work? *** On the day of the charity event, Ian went early as promised with Callie by his side. It had been two days already and there were still no signs of his best friend Bogancio. More than ever, Ian regretted not speaking to Bogancio sooner. For all Ian knew, Bogancio might have packed up his belongings and went back to his ninety-eight mothers out in the streets. He was going to be lonely again. Why did he have to be so stubborn when it came to Bogancio? Where is that fool? Ian muttered helplessly. Master has Callie, said Callie cutely in reminder. Thank you, Callie, Ian said gratefully with a forced smile. You are as dear to me as Genevieve. But... Ian lowered his eyes. Your friendship is different of that between the fool and I. We are of the same gender so it can't be helped. Master... Yes, Callie? Callie dropped her head. Does Master like the fool that much? Yes, said Ian solemnly. Ever since he stopped bothering me with nonsense, I have been extremely bored and lonely. No matter how much of a wreck that fool is, he is my best friend. Ian placed his hands over his chest. I am over my heartbreak days ago, but this loss of a fool is too much to bear... Giving in, Callie pointed at the tracks. Isn't that him over there? Where? Surrounded by his usual group of female friends, Bogancio laughed and chatted with them about how he managed to be heroic to a person that did not exist. It did not take long for Bogancio to feel a pair of eyes glaring at him from far away. Blinking, Bogancio recognized his Master from afar. Happily, Bogancio excused him and ran up to Ian with his arms spread out, ready to tackle his Master into a hug. Master Ian! Ian scowled. You fool! Master Ian, you have to save me, Bogancio pleaded, still running over. For the past days, I've been imprisoned and forced into slavery! Master, you have to do something about it! What in the world are you talking about? Ian demanded. Before Bogancio could answer, he tripped and fell to the ground. Ian and Callie watched as Karenana approached Bogancio from behind with a whip in her hands. Apparently, he tripped because she used her whip on his ankles. Struggling to his feet, Bogancio began begging Ian to take him back when Ian turned his back on Bogancio. I should have known, Ian said under his breath. Ian, Karenana called. Ian listened to her and turned around. No matter

how much torture I forced your fool to go through, he wouldn't agree to be my servant. Bogancio nodded from the ground. Therefore I have come to compromise with you. Karenana smirked. I will introduce you to my lovely classmates on group dates if you allow me to date your fool. Ian glanced down at Bogancio, who shook his head frantically. You do not love him? Ian asked Karenana carefully. You only want a man servant? Correct, Karenana answered, petting Bogancio on the head. He will still be of use to you. I simply want to borrow him for the occasional date and massage. She's evil, Master Ian, Bogancio said helplessly. Ian ignored Bogancio and raised his hand up to Karenana. We have a deal, then. Master Ian! Once Karenana shook hands with Ian, she pulled out a pair of handcuffs and locked Bogancio with her by the ankles. With tearful eyes, Bogancio was dragged away by Karenana. Ian simply waved after them before Callie turned toward him with a dropped jaw. Callie couldn't believe what she just saw. It was so outside her Master's character. Master, are you sure? You were in love with Karenana! Ian laughed. This is more entertaining. Besides, Ian noticed his classmates watched Bogancio enviously since he was now holding hands with Karenana. She'll be better at protecting him from his haters than I can. Master is so noble, said Callie with sparkling eyes. Ian shook his head. That Bogancio... he is no good. He can't do anything efficiently. He's not charming, intelligent, or handsome. He has no money or status. Worse, he's a coward and a fool. There is not a positive trait about him. Yet, Ian had a jealous expression on his face. He has two things going for him. What are they, Master? His big mouth and, Ian smirked in amusement. His luck with women. Little did Ian know, there was a particular young lady who was unhappy about this relationship between Bogancio and his new girlfriend Karenana. She was sitting with her servants when she saw it happened. Before now, she had rarely thought she had to reveal herself to Bogancio since he had so many female friends and there was little chance of him getting a girlfriend. With this development though, she had no choice, but to act. The fool of course had no idea what was coming... Wait for me, Bogancio, said a girl under wavy pink hair.
