    CENTURION

    "CenturionisanassociationforreservenonofficersthatfocusesonnationalassociationsofNATO countries,althoughassociationsofnonNATOcountriesmaybecomemembers.Theassociationwas foundedin2010bytheNetherlandsandGermanyintheabsenceofanassociationforreservenon officerswhichismainlyfocusedonorganizingactivitiesformilitarymembersofnational associations. ThePresidencyofCenturioniseverytwoyearsprovidedbyoneofthemembercountries.This countryisorganizinganumberofmeetingsduringthepresidency,whichmainlyaimatsharing knowledgeandskillsbetweenmembersofnationalassociations.Itisnottheintentionthatonly boardsofnationalassociationsvisitssuchsessions. Toensureacontinuityofoperationsandmonitoring,CenturionhasaboardconsistingofaSecretary General,aSecretaryandaTreasurer.ThesereservistsareappointedbytheGeneralAssemblyof Centurion.Itprefersthattheboardiscomposedofthreedifferentnationalities. Allowingreserviststovisitactivitiesthecostsareaslowaspossible.Anannualcontributionis requiredof200percountry.Thisamountmaybeusedbytheboardtomeetexpenses. Inaddition,aparticipationfeeforeachactivityisrequested.Thiscontributionisusedtoparticipants inanactivitytoprovideaplacetosleep,foodandparticipationinorganizedworkshopswitha militarycharacter. Concludingameeting,thereisanopportunitytovisitatouristattractioninthepresidencycountry andalsoaclosingdinnerwillbeorganized. Itisnottheintentionthatduringaassemblythereisonlyameeting,orthatonlyattractionsinthe presidencycountrywillbevisited.Themilitaryaspectisparamount. InOctober2011duringtheCIORmeetingtherewillbeaproposaltoacceptCenturionasthefourth associationinCIORCIOMRNRFC.Ifthemeetingwillacceptthisproposalthenalreadyin2012 inDenmarkCenturionwilltakepartoftheCIORCongress.

    INVITATION
    DuringtheCIORCongressinPolandtherewasalotofinterestforCenturionfromCIORcountries. ThereforeCenturionwillorganizeameetinginTheNetherlandsfromFebruary2nd4th.Thetargetis togetmorecountriesasamemberofCenturion.Duringthemeetingwecantalkaboutdifferent itemssuchastheconstitutionandfurtheractionsthathastobetakentoCIORandNATO. ThemeetingisheldinOirschot(nearbyEindhoven).Thereisaverygoodrailroadconnection betweenAmsterdam(Schiphol)andEindhoven.IfwantedwewillpickyouupatEindhovenrailroad stationorattheairportinEindhoven.Thefeeforthemeetingisonly100perperson,including sleeping(barrackssobringatowelwithyou),mealsandaclosingdinneronFridayevening. Wewilltrytoofferyousomethingmorethanameeting,weareworkingonit,butitwillalwaysbe somethingthathastodowiththemilitaryorganization.
