The 4x4 comes with the ZD30: a 3.0 litre turbo diesel with 110kW of power, the most powerful diesel in its class. For big loads or comfortable cruising, all the 4x4s have 5-speed manual transmissions which have double cone synchroniser on 2nd and 3rd gears. To improve stability, the 4x4s also have a Limited Slip Differential (LSD), ensuring that power is shared equally between the two rear wheels. If you want a 4x2 there is the class leading 2.5 litre turbo diesel, with 100kW of power and a massive 304Nms of torque.

The Navara can do it all. The ranges towing capacity is near legendary, all of the 4x4 models lead their class. That strength is matched by toughness of the build. The Navara body is constructed from a corrosion resistant galvanised steel, designed to maximise rigidity and strength in all driving conditions. The special ladder-type chassis and additional reinforcements of the side member frame also increase strength. With all this toughness and brute strength, you may be surprised by just how smooth and quiet the ride is. Thats because of the high level of body stiffness from reinforced pillars and frame and the strategic placement of special sound absorbing and deadening materials. With three 4x4 models to choose from, all with the proven 3.0 litre turbo diesel ZD30 engine, your toughest decision is whether you want a single or double cab Navara or the double cab Venturer. All models feature a 5 speed manual transmission which is ideal for hauling big loads or cruising in comfort.

As you can see, the Navara may be tough on the outside, but its denitely soft on the outside. The cabin is quiet and the ride is car like.

Whether its a suburban worksite, work around the home or getting around on the weekend, there is a Navara 4x2 model to suit your needs. The single cab and King-Cab feature the 2.5 litre turbo intercooled diesel engine, and offer the choice of cab chassis or wellside. All double cab models also feature the 2.5 litre turbo intercooled diesel and come with a wellside tray. Navaras chassis has been nely tuned to accurately respond to feedback from whatever surface youre negotiating. So, whether youre on an urban road, motorway or building site, Navara provides the unique combination of body strength and rigidity for exceptional ride comfort. All models share the same reliable suspension system giving you an amazingly quiet ride. Up front theres double wishbone suspension with stabiliser bar with parallel leaf springs at the rear. These provide enhanced stability and agility when carrying heavy or awkward loads and deliver excellent responsiveness and on-road handling.

The Navara is a safe bet when it comes to driver and passenger safety. The high level of impact safety comes from an impact absorbing body construction, crumple zones, a heavily reinforced cabin and impact absorbing side intrusion beams. The Venturer models also feature driver and front passenger SRS airbags. All Navaras come with ventilated discs on the front, for superior fade resistance braking and drum brakes on the rear. That means safe, condent braking all round. And, when youre carrying a big load, the load sensing valve will automatically increase braking power to the back wheels according to the weight of the load. The Navara has an excellent level of driver visibility, a low glare windscreen and powerful halogen headlights. Its easy to see that when it comes to safety the Navara excels. Other safety features include energy absorbing steering column, retractable seatbelt, ame-retardant interior trim, fuel tank rollover valve and day/night rearview mirror.
