Information systems are implemented within an organization for the purpose of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of that organization. Capabilities of the information system and characteristics of the organization, its work systems, its people, and its development and implementation methodologies together determine the extent to which that purpose is achieved.

Now a day technology is taking place of old methods of doing things. It is used in every field of this world. In business field it has a massive effect on the results of the business transactions. It saves time and money in managing different tasks of the organization; provide a safe to secure the data of the organization and can be retrieved after so many years. Moreover we have more authenticity of data/ information all these factors or characteristics reduce the risk level.

UNITED NATION (UN)

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights. Due to its unique international character, and the powers vested in its founding Charter, the Organization can take action on a wide range of issues, and provide a forum for its 193 Member States to express their views, through the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and other bodies and committees. The work of the United Nations reaches every corner of the globe. Although best known for peacekeeping, peacebuilding, conflict prevention and humanitarian assistance, there are many other ways the United Nations and its System (specialized agencies, funds and programmes) affect our lives and make the world a better place. The Organization works on a broad range of fundamental issues,

from sustainable development, environment and refugees protection, disaster relief, counter terrorism, disarmament and non-proliferation, to promoting democracy, human rights, gender equality and the advancement of women, governance, economic and social development and international health, clearing landmines, expanding food production, and more, in order to achieve its goals and coordinate efforts for a safer world for this and future generations.

The UN 4 main Purposes


1) To keep peace throughout the world 2) To develop friendly relation among the Nations. 3) To help Nations work together to improve the life of poor people, to conquer hunger, disease and illiteracy and to encourage respect for each other` s rights and freedom. 4) To be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations to achieve these goals.

Employees Management IT is helping in managing the employees as UN has a very large number of employees which are working in different countries. IT helps in maintaining the records of employees such as their backgrounds, education, demographics (age, culture, gender etc.), their salaries, bonuses and allowance promotion and their daily, weekly performances of work. So IT is helping UN in managing such a large number of employees easily.

Management of assets
UN is large organization which has a large number of assets. Which UN and its related organizations such as UNICEF, UNDP etc. are managing their assets through using IT in their organizations. AS IT gives authenticity of data which is helpful in estimating the value of their/ its assets means what assets they/it have/has, which assets will be required in future which eliminates the corruption factor.
