3 Simple Steps
Step 1 – Interviews of the worldʹs Academic, Research, and Innovation Leaders
(30 minutes, onsite). The nation’s leading undergraduate and graduate students
interview Nobel Laureates, Chief Executive Officers, MacArthur Fellows,
Guggenheim Fellows, Social Entrepreneurs, and Alfred P. Sloan Research
Fellows, based on a standard interview protocol. This process is recurring and
takes place annually, beginning this Fall 2007.
The Result. A free on‐demand, new media library of the worldʹs leaders,
supported by additional student‐based tutoring and classroom teacher
applications.

This library will be accessible through any digital medium, ranging from the internet to
multimedia cell phones and mp3 players. Thus, all information will be on‐demand and
adaptable to whatever communication tools become prevalent in a knowledge economy.
The Concept
Everyone has knowledge to share that could benefit others. We are going to harvest,
recreate, and share this knowledge in a manner that is engaging, relevant, and
meaningful to teenage learners.
We are focused on an education deliverable for the worldʹs 1.2 billion teenagers, 90
percent of which live in the developing world. We also have a focus on reaching
aspiring first generation college students, nationally and abroad. Over the next five
years, we will institutionalize the new form of public service for a knowledge
economy, through new media, innovation, and choice.
Beliefs
Self‐empowerment. Provided with the opportunity, all learners have the
capacity to empower themselves.
Access (Open Source). All learners should have open access to expert and
shared knowledge.
New Media. New media will play an integral role in the delivery of open
source teaching and learning platforms.
The Knowledge Economy. The tools of a knowledge economy will enable
our beliefs to empower the decisions of all learners.
ʺThis belief in the importance of innate talent, strongest perhaps among the experts themselves and their
trainers, is strangely lacking in hard evidence...motivation appears to be a more important factor than
innate ability in the development of expertise.ʺ Ross, P. (August 2006). ʺThe Expert Mindʺ. Scientific
American. 295 (2) pg. 64 ‐ 71.

Sage Leadership Partners are pioneers in the implementation of open
source management and communication structures. While the
general norm of email communication is constant reaction to
generally disconnected “always urgent” inquiries. Open source
management is proactive and fully immersed in communication
platforms where deep exploration and thought drive the basis of
organizational communication, collaboration, project planning, and
implementation. The immediate byproduct is the continuous
development of all team members in a manner that empowers shared

The Question. How do you manage an international teaching corps of global
economy associates comprised of the most innovative undergraduates and
graduate students throughout the world?
The Answer. Open Source Management.
Introduction. Individuals will find that the open source management interview
process is rigorous, fully maximizing the skills which a knowledge economy
demands. Open source management fully incorporates the process of writing as
a transformational platform for proactive and strategic leadership, allowing the
collective wisdom of a collaborative team to transform the world, through
previously unimagined systems of teaching, leadership, and open source
learning.
The interview process. Applicants will be presented with a comprehensive set of
information upon which to react and generate their own new ideas. The intent of
this process is to gage the degree of fit between the applicantʹs existing
professional goals and the mission of an organization.
Exemplary individuals quickly distinguish themselves based on the degree of
thought and form of communication used to convey their existing questions and
professional goals. Open source management is fully immersed in the tools of a
knowledge economy and includes the frequent integration of new media links,
research, and current event articles.
The next step. Successful applicants are then required to present their formal
academic and/or professional credentials whether they be in the form of official
transcripts or notarized letters of recommendation in the affirmative nature.
