Description: The core concept of this project is to perform a Design Verification of 3-Ring Large Bore Piston by Finite Element Analysis, and the results are verified with design guideline criteria. This thesis presents a three dimensional finite element full analysis, which describes the thermo-mechanical behavior, pre-tension effects and the fatigue life of the two-piece 3-Rings large bore piston.
