Initially joining the company on the first line support team maintaining the systems in the store from servers to handheld scanning devices across 146 stores in the UK Joined the 2nd/3rd line support team in Oct 2006 for the POS systems, being the end line support for the servers/tills/PCs within the stores. Providing remote and onsite support to external engineers on servers Writing and implementing new procedures for my colleagues and end users Training colleagues on server hardware and software support Implementing scripts written by myself to resolve common issues and standardise fixes with new procedures Managed, and maintained the backup solution in all of our stores Managed and implemented the store server replacement program in our flagship stores using new hardware, software and network equipment Played a key role in a secondment project at our London head office where all users were migrated to a new network environment, trained contractors and improved the migration process Managed, communicated and assisted in fixing business critical issues affecting all of our stores Assisted with rolling out software updates to thousands of devices across our sore infrastructure Taking a leading role when working with other internal systems departments and being the key contact for them Managed and opened 20+ new stores within the UK setting up the new systems and providing support to the onsite Technician throughout the opening. Provided out of hours callout for 5 years, responsible for all stores trading systems
