Introduction
Why do some people solve problems more creatively than others? Are those persons having unique talent than those who tend to think in a more systematic manner? Can we inoculate creative thinking practice among children or it is just one of the intrinsic qualities which cant be developed? Creativity is the act of thinking out of box, connecting the impossible dots during a problem solving process. Many day to day innovations is invented by creative thinking in the field of engineering, medicine, agriculture, commerce, administrations and law. Contrary to the earlier thoughts that creativity is associated with domain of art and music, it is now established that creative thinking is the one key approach, which brings elegant solutions to people working in all field. Researchers proved that creative thinking process is a skill that can be developed even at the early age by systematically exposing them to set of methodologies, like how we teach mathematics. When I started teaching kids, I found that regular text books are more informative and rigidly structured. The content, design and presentation hardly evokes childs interest in refining his concepts. So we, at Miyav Learning, brings out activity books, puzzle sets to evoke the curiosity of children and foster their creative thinking ability. You can know more about our activity book titled Thinking Tools for Kids in our Miyav portal www.miyav.in. This book, puzzle for kids has fourteen puzzles carefully selected from our learning modules and other sources. The maths puzzles are designed as good introduction to expose the concepts in Algebra, geometry. Science puzzles are provided to expose the students to higher concepts of atoms, machines and logical thinking. The answer sheet is given in separately. Let the children try to solve them independently. Later parents/teachers can help with the answers.
