from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisiana. He served for over twenty eight years as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Orlando. He was President of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) from 1994-1996. He was awarded the honor of Minister of the Year in 1995 and has preached at the Billy Graham School of Evangelism.
