INSTALLATION Before you begin

Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Ensure that you have all the equipment needed to make a proper installation of the system. Also ensure that grounding terminals, AC-distributions are properly available. Take care that the regulations of IEC 60364 and CENELEC HD384 concerning installation and assembling of telecommunication and electrical equipment have been noticed. The local regulations and special instructions must also be noticed during the work. When choosing the place of the installation please notice that the cooling air must flow without restrictions through the ventilation holes. The system must have enough space in front of it for operation and service functions. Notice the direction of the cabling and the required space of the other equipment.

2.2

Unpacking the system

Step 1 Step 2 Step 4. Check that the received cargo is according to the packing list. Ensure that the cabinet and the equipment are not damaged during transportation. Check that proper documents are delivered with the system and necessary contact information for technical support is included.

INSTALLATION System cabinet

Step 1 Step 2 Set the system cabinet standing in its place and straighten it if needed by adjusting the base. Fasten the plinth of the cabinet to the ground base with the four screws (M12). The dimension of the fixing holes are shown bellow:

4.2

Electrical connections
Remove the front cover from the AC distribution Note! Check if the all appropriate protection elements to supply the system in the AC site main distribution are switched OFF.

4.2.1 Grounding
Connect the protective-grounding terminal of the cabinet mechanics to the main grounding bus bar of the site by proper cable. Step 1 Step 2 Bring in the PE cable through input sleeve packing on the back of the cabinet so that there is enough length to make the connections Connect the PE cable to the protective-grounding terminal of the cabinet

Step 1 1 x 25 A 3 x 4 mm2 AC-input recommendation for ODPS 1200-48-4 MPS outdoor. Bring in the AC input and output cables through input sleeves packing on the back of the cabinet so that there is enough length to make the connections. To make this easier you could open the side doors (left and/or right). For that two screws in each side (accessible from the front) have to be unscrewed. Connect AC input cables PE cable to the PE terminal, phase cable (L) to the phase connection and the neutral (N) cable to the N-connection of the input MCB breaker F0 in the AC distribution (Figure 5)

4.2.3 DC outputs -connection

Step 1 Bring in the DC output cables through input sleeves packing on the back of the cabinet so that there is enough length to make the connections. To make this easier you could open the side doors (left and/or right). For that two screws in each side (accessible from the front) have to be unscrewed. Connect DC output cables - minus cable (-) to terminal of the load circuit breaker 1F1...1F4, plus to plus bus bar (see user manual for DPS 1200B system)

Step 3 Bring in the alarm output cables through input sleeves packing on the back of the cabinet so that there is enough length to make the connections. To make this easier you could open the side doors (left and/or right). For that two screws in each side (accessible from the front) have to be unscrewed. Connect alarm output cables to alarms terminals (Figure 5). Connections between user alarm terminals and alarm connectors of PSC1 controller board is presented bellow:

4.2.5

Battery connections
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Make sure that batteries circuits breakers BF11 and BF12 in DPS 1200B-48-4 power system are in the OFF-position Install the batteries on their shelves. Connect the internal battery cables so that the total nominal voltage of each battery string is 48 V. Connect the systems pre-installed battery connection, cable marked as + to the free plus-pole of the battery string and the cable marked as - to the free negative pole. The battery strings are numbered according to the battery fuse it is connected to.

Fasten the all cables to the cable supporter behind AC distribution in the cabinet Install the front cover from the AC distribution on their position.

4.2.6

Rectifiers installation
Step 1 Install the DPR 1200B -48 rectifiers in the DPS 1200B-48-4 power system (see details in DPS 1200B-48-4 user manual)

COMMISSIONING Starting up the system

Taking the system into use is presented below step-by-step. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Step 7 Step 8 Step 9 Check that the all connections are made according to the installation instructions and the wiring diagram. Check that the all circuit breakers in AC distribution and DPS 1200B-484 system are in OFF-position. Power on the outdoor system by switching ON the appropriate switch in the AC site distribution. Power on the DPS 1200B-48-4 system by switching ON the circuit breaker F0 Switch ON the batteries circuits breakers BF11 and / or BF12 in DPS 1200B-48-4 system Check if DPS 1200B-48-4 system work properly (see details in DPS 1200B-48-4 user manual) Power on the output loads by switching ON the 1F1 1F4 output circuit breakers accordingly Start the Air Conditioner by switching on the circuit breaker FAC Check if Air Conditioner work properly (see details in air conditioner user manual the factory setting for the start cooling temperature is 25 C)
