RAILWAY RESERVATION DATABASE SYSTEM CONCLUSION This project is about the designing the railway reservatio n database system using M S Access,and Visual Basic 6.0. This project presents an investigative view of present railway reservationsystem including the history of railways and detail of network topology of PRS. Present systemo f Indian railway reservation system is having so me shortco ming o n which we have tried t o work on that to eliminate the disadvantages.We have made a database for passengers and trains and connected these t wo

tables fro m thecusto m made data entr y form built in Visual Basic 6.0. There are options for new entry which will be stored in M S Access database and retrieved from database in future.This project was a small attempt to make the railway reservatio n database system using M SAccess, and Visual Basic 6.0. We have talked with so me o f railway o fficers abo ut the featuresand shortco ming o f present railway reser vation system after the research with the associated p e o p l e a n d o t h e r s o u r c e s w e w e r e a b l e t o f o u n d o u t s o m e o f t h e m a j o r f a c t s r e g a r d i n g t h e reservation system and tried to eliminate the shortcoming of system.In the last we co nclude that India n Railway is having a strong IT Infrastructure and a well -equipped railway reservation system b ut there is so me shortco ming in the system on which we have tried to work on it and successfully completed our project. And database for updated availability of seats which is a v a i l a b l e a f t e r t h e cancellation of ticket on that specific train. Etc.He or she can also add some more command buttons in the existing software and extend workingof the existing software.
