From the East: November brings Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. In past years, the 11 and 12 Masonic District has had a float in the Veterans Day Parade. If we want to be able to do this in future years, we need to get the float fixed up. If you are willing and able, please contact RW Raymond Ali at 9624000, to find out how you can help.

Dues notices for 2012 are in the mail. You should be getting them very soon. To those who have not paid their 2011 dues the payment I receive will go to the 2011 dues and you will still owe for 2012. Get your dues payments in early. These are about the only funds that enable us to keep our Lodge open. For 2012, Perpetual Members will receive a permanent dues card made of plastic. This will reduce paperwork and means you wont have to get notices every year. It is still a good idea for Perpetual Members or regular members to donate to the Lodge. If you have heard the Treasurers Report lately you know we are operating in the red by this time of year. Some of us have made out automatic monthly payments to the Lodge from our bank or Credit Union. A $15 or $20 per month makes up a donation of from $180 to $240 per year to the Lodge is an amount most of us can afford without too much trouble. If quite a few of us did this it would really help our money situation. I have had some medical problems with my neck and back. I will have surgery soon and hope that will get me back into fighting shape. Your prayers are always welcome.

The Thanksgiving dinner has been scheduled for the 12 of November at noon. Please bring your family and friends and come share a great meal. The Junior Warden still needs volunteers to cook 1 more 20 lb turkey and 3 more 20 lb hams at home and will need assistance in the kitchen before and after the dinner. If you are not signed up to bring hams or turkeys, please bring a favorite thanksgiving dish or dessert.
We will be DARK on the 7 in order to assist Scottish Rite with their golf tournament. If you can play golf, help out with the tournament or sponsor a hole or some prizes, it will be greatly appreciated. The details and sign-up sheet are on our website. As our year is winding down, we will be having the last th degree of the year on the 14 . Worshipful Wayne Williams will be sitting in the East for this Fellowcraft Degree, put on by our Past Masters. Please let him know how you can assist. We will be meeting at 5:30 to test catechism proficiency.
