Winner of IFAC96 prize awarded by the Institute of Engineers Australia for the work presented in IFAC96 (1996). Winner (together with my colleagues) of the second prize of Kharazmi National Scientific Competition for the project on Identification and modeling of a two-degree of feedom stable platform mounted on a helicopter (2003). Winner of the best paper award, Electronic Learning Conference, Zanjan Uniuversity, Zanjan, Iran , for the paper titled An introduction to standards and criteria for digital contents , May 2006,

Developed Software
Experience with UNIX, VMS, and networking facilities, LabVIEW, MATLAB, FORTRAN, and C++. Developed the following MATLAB toolboxes, 1. WAVE-NET Toolbox (by Safavi and Romagnoli): To perform several wavelet and wavelet-based neural networks design and analysis (1996) . 2. - MPC-PLUS Toolbox (by Odenthal, Safavi, Romagnoli): To study and design Model Predictive Control (1997). 3. - SIMU-CONTROL Toolbox (by Brett, Safavi, Palizban, Romagnoli (1997) and extended by Safavi, Hosseini, Homayooni, 2000 ): To perform several advanced control techniques within Matlab/Simulink environment . 4.
