Thankyou for purchasing a SPARTAN II sound suppressor. We appreciate your business. Please read these instructions carefully prior to use. Compatibility: The SPARTAN II suppressor is threaded 1/2x28 for .630 thread length standard in AR-15 / M4 Carbine style weapons. Safety Considerations! Unload your weapon in accordance with its manufacturers user manual prior to mounting the sound suppressor. Remove the bolt or bolt carrier group and charging handle from the weapon prior to inspection of the mounting alignment. To mount your SPARTAN II silencer: Place the suppressor over the compatible muzzle thread. The silencer will bottom out when the threads on the suppressors rear mount touch the threads on the SPARTAN II muzzle accessory. When this occurs, engage the thread by rotating counter clockwise until you feel the starting point of the thread. Next tighten the silencer by rotating it clockwise until it is fully tightened. Tighten the suppressor as firmly as you can with one hand. Confirm alignment! Visually confirm alignment on every untested weapon prior to first use by placing white paper in the breach, and looking through the suppressor bore, parallel to the walls of the barrel bore on all sides, comparing clearance to elements of the suppressor bore. If alignment does not appear to be right, or if you desire the most minimal POI shift and maximum safety from baffle strikes or other issues, send your barrel to ADCO firearms in Ohio for barrel threading. www.adcofirearms.com Recommended rate of fire considerations: The SPARTAN II is constructed of Melonite QPQ treated, 4130 chrome moly steel and 17-4PH stainless steel. Your SPARTAN II suppressor is rated for barrels 12.5 or longer. Longer barrels will provide maximum suppressor wear life. 1/7 twist rate is recommended. The recommended maximum rate of fire for 5.56mm weapons is no more than 30 rounds on automatic followed by 14 rounds per minute sustained. Do not quench/cool your heated silencer with water, ice, or snow. Quenching metals will em-brittle them, can warp parts, and may damage or destroy your silencer. Allow your silencer to air cool.

Maintenance: Clean and protect your suppressors mounting system and host weapon barrel threads after every use to ensure mating surfaces are free of corrosion, as well as copper and carbon fouling. Failure to clean the mounting system or to remove your suppressor for storage can result in your suppressor becoming stuck to the muzzle device on your weapon. Rod the bore with a nylon brush coated with CLP or your favorite cleaner / lubricant / corrosion inhibitor. Spray a light coat of WD-40 or Rem Oil into the suppressor body for storage. WD-40 may cause the suppressor to smoke upon firing. Rem-oil is less likely to cause this to occur. If you use more than a light coat of oil, shake out the excess prior to firing. Fluid is an incompressible liquid- a substantial amount of liquid will raise operating pressures with potentially dangerous results. Do not use grease or water in your suppressor. Finish: High rate of fire operation at temperatures exceeding 1100F after firing more than 90 rounds in 1-3 minutes, may damage the finish. If you witness the finish baking off of your SPARTAN II suppressor, that is an indicator that you are operating it beyond its intended operating temperature range. If refinishing is desired, rub the old loosened, heat affected paint off with rubbing alcohol and a clean rag and apply the finish of your choice. Use a light coat with the silencer standing on the rear cap. Painting the mount bore or threads will result in tolerance interference, rendering the unit inoperable till interfering coating thickness is removed. Painting the thread shoulder engagement area is not recommended, as differential coating thickness may reduce precision of mounting alignment. CAUTION: The SPARTAN II Silencer combats the Impulse noise at the muzzle of your weapon and cannot account for the actions associated operating noise which will vary by weapon type and barrel length. For the highest level of hearing protection, wear hearing protection at all times while using your silencer.
