CPU I have chosen in i7 960 Quad Core because of its 3.2GHz clock speed therefore making this a faster processer and this will make it more capable of running higher spec games. RAM For the RAM I have decided to take a 6GB triple channel. The advantage to having more than one stick of ram is the CPU will send the data that it has processed down the multiple channels, this will make it faster. GPU I have taken the Point of View GeFORCE GTX 570. Although this particular Graphics Card comes with a game this was not the determining factor to which I choose. The Card has 2GB of RAM built on to it with an interface of PCIe 2.0 (x16), the interface is the biggest factor in choosing a Graphics Card because it needs to be compatible with the MoBo. Sound Card The Asus Xonar has multiple inputs and outputs; with its Dolby 7.1 surround sound this particular sound card will provide the gamer with two extra speaker ports, the two extra ports will provide a gamer will not just a front left, right and rear left, right but also above left and right. This will create a quality output of sound from every direction. PSU For the current setup the PC wont use 1.2KW but if the user wanted to upgrade the computer with better parts that released more heat, they would still have the options to upgrade from air cooling to water. Optical Drives A Blu Ray drive will allow the use of CDs, DVDs and Blu Ray disks, although many new PC games are on DVDs the gamer can still use older games that are on CD. The PC will be, to some extent, future proof due to the ability to play Blu Ray disks. HDD I have chosen a 2TB HDD because a gamer will most probably have multiple games

and would want to download certain additions to games such as Map Packs and Updates. Fans I have decided to add 2 more fans to keep the components cool. Even though these are unessential it will make it possible to overclock the components without the need to spend extra money on the cooling for it. When deciding what Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor and Headset to choose I decided to look at online reviews and balance the choice between them and my personal preference. Case The case was one of the easier components to choose. Mainly because it had to fit an ATX motherboard in it and have enough space to fit a Blu Ray player and a HDD. Although many gamers like a good looking case I dont see the point in spending an excessive amount on this component.

version of this card, it will run faster and give better visual performance. With an interface of PCIe 2.0 (x16) it is compatible in many modern Motherboards. At 707 it is the most expensive internal component, but a photographer would need unbelievable levels of performance. PSU I have decided to take a 1KW PSU, although I have lost 200W compared to the Gamers PC, the PC doesnt contain a Sound Card. The user will still have enough power to upgrade if they wish and the option to convert from air cooling to water. Optical Drives I have taken the same Blu Ray player from the Gamers PC. Although most picture now only take up a maximum of 10-20Mb; the quality and resolution of these will continue to increase so will the file size. If the user had a client who had many photos taken he would be able to burn them either to DVD or Blu Ray depending on the total file size. Also the Optical Drive will allow the photographer to install editing software ect HDD I have built this PC with 2 Western Digital 750GB Hard Drives. I have taken two so the user can back up his data, or use it as extra storage space if he fills up the first one. For example if the first one failed and he had backed up on the second he would not have lost all their work and income. Mouse and Keyboard I have taken a basic mouse and keyboard because the user doesnt really need a specialist mouse. Monitor I have taken an Ezio ColourEdge CG243W monitor. I have taken this monitor from the colour confidence website. I decided to look at this website after it was
recommended to me. Although this monitor is on the expensive side it will not disappoint the user. The photographer will need a monitor will such a good colour resolution because what is seen on the screen has to come out on the paper. Graphics Tablet The Hanvon ArtMaster graphics tablet has also come from the colour confidence website. Although this isnt always essential I have decided to take on just to be on the safe side. Case Again; just like the previous build I have taken a gaming case. Although this isnt a gaming PC the components would get just as hot and need the extra fans.

This allows the user to type without having a keyboard. This can be
used in replacement of a keyboard or until you get a keyboard. On Vista the keyboard had a blue background with white and grey keys, the windows key was also coloured in the colours of the windows logo. Whereas in 7 the keyboards design has changed a lot. The keys are now black with white text and the windows button in no longer coloured.
Narrator Narrator is designed to help the visually impaired use their computer applications and
install other software. The Narrator that was installed to the Vista OS hasnt been changed and the one in 7 is exactly the same.

System Restore By using System Restore you can restore your computer to an existing restore
point or if you dont have one, create a restore point. System Restore backs up system files and saves them for later recovery; it will also back up some hardware drivers.
You can restore your System to a point before a certain update, for example in the image above the user can revert the computer to the same state it was in before the windows updates.
Task Scheduler The task scheduler can be used to launch certain programs and other features
such as defrag, anti-virus ect

The files can transferred through and Easy Transfer Cable, A Network or a USB or External Hard Drive. Windows 7 also includes Windows Easy Transfer Reports this makes it possible for the user to track what transfers have been made, and which PCs the files have been transferred between.
Backup and Restore The user can use this component of the Windows OS to create a Backup
of their PC. It is included in Windows Vista and later. It is the replacement for NTBackup. The user can backup what they like or they can do a Complete PC Backup which creates an image of the PC including the OS. This can then be restored through the Windows Recovery Environment either to the same machine or a different one.

This feature is also a live video feed, so if you are playing a Youtube video in the window it will continue to play in the task bar.
For example I have hovered over my Visual Studio icon and received a sneek peek at what is going on in the window. Also by hovering over the show desktop button on the left of the task bar I also get a peek at the desktop and the locations of the other windows.
