TODAY is the Solemnity of Christ the King, and Youth Sunday. It is our Parish Showcase when we celebrate, at all the Masses, our gifts, and how they reach out to the wider community. Please do look around the displays and chat to the group representatives. It could be chaos, but hopefully good fun and worthwhile. Take your time! Pastoral Team. PRISONERS WEEK: Please pray for prisoners and their dependants during this week of prayer and awareness. RETIRING COLLECTION today for our Diocesan Youth Services, particularly Castlerigg Manor which is currently looking to upgrade its facilities by means of matched funding and therefore needs to raise a good deal of money itself. CAFOD: Mary Whittle is now our parish representative for Cafod. Thank you to Margaret Long for holding the fort recently. ADVENT begins next weekend. A season of grace to prepare for The Saviours Birth. Walk with me booklets, priced 1. HOUSE GROUPS: We have three groups where people meet together for prayer and scripture reflection. Perhaps you might like to join one this Advent? Everyone was delighted to meet Stephen Crainey who answered many questions about his football career! The Club st meets again on 1 Dec, 7pm 8.30pm. For Yr 6 upwards. SONGS FROM THE SHOWS: Thank you to all who participated in this event. A profit of 243.40 was made for parish funds. CLIFTON HOSPITAL: Fr. John has been asked to be Chaplain to Clifton now that Our Ladys no longer has a second priest. Children's Christmas Party: Sun. 11th Dec 3pm - 5.30pm.
