Fees For InternatIonal students 2012

This document lists the tuition fees, levies and insurance costs for international students for study at Victoria University of Wellington in 2012. Please read the following important notes before continuing. These tuition fees apply to courses in 2012. Courses taken in subsequent years will be charged at the rates for that year. Costs associated with field trips and thesis publication are not included in these estimates.

Phd sTudy
A PhD requires a minimum of three years of study and research. Tuition fees for PhD study and research are charged on a per-year basis. International PhD students are charged at domestic fee rates. For the latest information on fees for doctoral study, refer to the Postgraduate Thesis section at www.victoria.ac.nz/home/ admisenrol/payments/fees.aspx PhD application closing dates are 1 March, 1 July and 1 November. It is expected that PhD study begins within nine months of the date of offer.

TuiTion Fees
The tuition fees quoted are based on 120 points of study within the Faculty offering the qualification, unless otherwise stated. A standard year of full-time study is equivalent to two trimesters or 120 points. The actual fee you will pay will depend on the number of points in which you enrol and the Faculty from which you select courses. Undergraduate fees are charged at the following rates: School of Architecture School of Design Faculty of Commerce + Administration Faculty of Education Faculty of Engineering Faculty of Humanities + Social Sciences Faculty of Law Faculty of Science New Zealand School of Music $220.83 $212.08 $182.50 $150.58 $224.17 $167.08 $204.17 $200.83 $200.00

sTudenT Levies and insurance

All student levies and medical and travel insurance rates quoted are for one academic year (120 points, or two trimesters) of study, unless otherwise stated. The quoted rates are based on 2011 costs, and are subject to change for 2012. For comprehensive and up-to-date details of these and other costs, see www.victoria.ac.nz/international/planning/costs.aspx.
