GENERAL CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - ANTICIPATED VACANCIES LOCATION: VARIOUS IN ETHIOPIA AND SOUTH SUDAN PROGRAMMES POTENTIAL TYPE

OF CONTRACT: FIXED TERM Who we are Oxfams Ethiopian and South Sudan Programmes are complex programmes that incorporate both rapid and slow onset emergencies as well as longer term development and policy work. Oxfam applies a one programme approach which means it has multiple activities that support a holistic approach to humanitarian, development and advocacy for long lasting change in poverty reduction. As we anticipate the potential increase in programme activities in Ethiopia and South Sudan we are looking for experienced humanitarians and are calling for applications for potential roles listed below. PROGRAMME MANAGER - Hum01 Please apply if you have the following: Minimum of a first degree, extensive experience of emergency and understanding of relevant humanitarian and policy issues in a similar context, strong analytical and strategic planning skills with good experience in proposal development and report writing. LOGISTICIAN Hum02 Please apply if you have the following: A degree in a relevant field, proven experience in Humanitarian or development work, well developed interpersonal and team skills, good written and spoken English as well as be organised and able to keep clear and concise records. FINANCE OFFICER Hum03 Please apply if you have the following: professional Accounting qualification with, thorough knowledge of bookkeeping. A working understanding of project cycle, highly developed interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to issues are key for this role. Ability to manage resources and deadlines with minimum supervision HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER Hum04 Please apply if you have the following: you will have a diploma in HR or Business Administration or related field, good knowledge of management of communication systems, as well as good organization, interpersonal and communication skills. PUBLIC HEALTH ENGINEERS (Water Distribution) Hum05 Please apply if you have the following: a degree in Water and Environmental Engineering, extensive experience in humanitarian work and significant understanding of pipe water supply source development and integrated WASH and hygiene promotion programme for IDPs/refugees in camps, urban and rural situation. PUBLIC HEALTH ENGINEERS (Sanitation & Construction) Hum06 Please apply if you have the following: a degree in Civil/Water Engineering, extensive experience in humanitarian work and significant understanding of building materials, construction and integrated watsan & hygiene promotion programme for IDPs/refugees in camps, urban and rural situation. PUBLIC HEALTH PROMOTERS Hum07 Please apply if you have the following: a degree in environmental/public/community health, with at least three years practical experience in appropriate community health and environmental programmes in an emergency/ refugee programme set up. EMERGENCY FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS Hum08 Please apply if you have the following: A degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Business, Development, Food Security or related field, demonstrable experience of implementing cash transfer & Food Aid programmes, demonstrable successful experience in working with partners in emergency situations.
