Megamente (Will Ferrell) es un extraterrestre con una extraordinaria inteligencia que, a tan slo ocho das de edad, es enviado a la Tierra por sus padres cuando su planeta natal es destruido por un agujero negro. Sin embargo, su nave espacial aterriz en la crcel de Metro Ciudad, gracias a otro beb extraterrestre similar enviado de otro planeta que vivi con una familia rica y, eventualmente, se convierte en un superhroe conocido como Metromn (Brad Pitt), defensor de la ciudad ficticia de Metro City. Como resultado, Megamente se plantea una desviacin social, que es descuidado por su inteligencia destructiva, con su pez compaero, Servil (David Cross) como nico amigo. Al darse cuenta de que su talento es la causa de problemas, y celoso de toda la atencin y la alabanza que el joven Metromn recibe, Megamente se convierte en un supervillano para competir contra Metromn, a pesar de que este siempre frustra sus planes; es asistido por una piraa y el ejrcito de "Brainbots" o "Cerebots" como se les llama en la versin para Latinoamrica. Durante uno de sus muchos intentos de derrotar a Metromn, Megamente secuestra a la reportera Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey) y la utiliza como cebo para atraer a Metromn al observatorio, mientras que Servil, Megamente y Roxanne Ritchi estn en el observatorio "Falso" construido por Megamente, quien tiene la intencin de matarlo con su rayo letal concentrado con la fuerza de el sol, la cual deba calcinar a Metromn. El plan parece planeado para que Metromn escapara, pero l proclama que el interior del observatorio est recubierto con cobre, su punto dbil. Metromn es entonces, aparentemente asesinado por el rayo letal. Megamente, al principio, se alegra de que l haya vencido a su archienemigo, y procede a vivir la vida de ensueo penal, asumiendo el control del ayuntamiento y el saqueo de la ciudad. Su felicidad es ms una hiptesis que una realidad, ya que pronto cae deprimido por el hecho de que sin alguien con quien luchar, su vida como un supervillano ya no tiene ningn efecto. Roxanne decide visitar el museo de Metromn, y sin saberlo, Megamente tambin va. Roxanne se deprime por el final del superhroe, y Megamente se arrepiente de haberlo aniquilado, lanzando una bomba hacia el museo para no atraer ms recuerdos. Sin embargo, Megamente es escuchado por Roxanne. En un intento por huir, se encuentra con un hombre, en el museo de Metromn, llamado Bernard (Ben Stiller), mientras que la destruccin del Museo de Metromn se lleva a cabo y tratando de evitar a Roxanne, se disfraza de l, con ayuda de del rayo deshidratador y su reloj de transformacin se deshace del real Bernard. Roxanne y Megamente (disfrazado de Bernard) salen del edificio antes de que sea destruido. Megamente disfrazado de Bernard comienza a salir con Roxanne, y ella le inspira a crear un nuevo superhroe que lucha con un suero de ADN de Metromn. Con la esperanza de descubrir los planes que el malvado Megamente tiene para la ciudad, Roxanne irrumpe en la guarida de Megamente y pelea con l usando una pistola jeringa que contiene el suero, que se dispar accidentalmente y se inyecta en el camargrafo de Roxanne, Hal Stewart (Jonah Hill). comienza a tener dudas acerca de ser un villano, encontrando ms placer en establecer una relacin con Roxanne. Servil descubre la relacin y discute con Megamente sobre el tema, afirmando que el malo de la pelcula no obtiene a la chica. Frustrado, Megamente entonces grita que ya no quiere ser el chico malo, y le dice a Servil que se vaya, y que no lo necesita. Entristecido, Servil piensa que su amistad est aparentemente perdida. Hal decide conquistar a Roxanne con sus nuevos poderes, y le revela que l es Titn, pero Roxanne lo rechaza, dicindole que no haba ms que una amistad. Titn se deprime y se muestra celoso de Bernard (quien es Megamente, disfrazado). Tras reunirse en un restaurante, Roxanne besa a Bernard, pero mueve su holoreloj, el cual revela la identidad de Megamente. Roxanne, sorprendida por el engao, lo rechaza, ya que es incapaz de conciliar sus malas acciones pasadas con su nuevo comportamiento. Afligido, Megamente sigue adelante con su plan de lucha contra Titn. En ese momento, Titn ha decidido que prefiere ser un supervillano. Hal es socialmente torpe, y se supone que ha vivido una vida de mediocridad. Resentido de su forma de vida, Titn expresa su psicologa por robar dinero, el arte, los videojuegos, tablas de surf y una gran pantalla de televisin y diciendo que es demasiado trabajo para ser un hroe. Disgustado, Megamente provoca a Titn revelndole que fue su padre de espacio y Bernard. Totalmente furioso de que el bobo intelectual le rob a Roxanne, Hal lo ataca como una venganza, pero a diferencia de Metromn, Titn decide definitivamente matar a Megamente, as que ste se ve obligado a huir para salvar su vida. Sin personas dispuestas para detenerlo, Titn empieza a hacer estragos en Metro City en venganza por el rechazo de Roxanne y todos los que alguna vez lo haban llamado un perdedor. Megamente ataca a Titn con una esfera de cobre, pero se sorprende al ver a Titn escapando de ella con un golpe. Confundido acerca de este dilema, Megamente convence a Roxanne de la bsqueda de pistas sobre sus debilidades en el escondite secreto de Metromn. All, descubren que Metromn todava est vivo (haba un vaso con lquido y hielos, recientemente puesto) y se enteran que fingi su muerte (y su debilidad al cobre) para que pudiera retirarse de ser un superhroe. Roxanne protesta su traicin. Metromn explica, relatando su historia, que pudo escapar de la trampa de Megamente, pero para darse cuenta de que haba vivido toda su vida sin realmente hacer una eleccin acerca de lo que realmente quera y vivir su verdadera pasin, la msica. Megamente y Roxanne tratan de persuadirlo para derrotar a Titn, pero l se niega. Roxanne pide a Megamente no dejar de luchar, pero l se niega, alegando que l no es un hroe y que el villano no consigue a la chica. En lugar de eso se entrega a la prisin a la que siempre lo mandaba Metromn. Cuando Titn secuestra a Roxanne, le da un ultimtum a Megamente, dicindole que si en una hora no va por Roxanne, ella morira. Megamente decide escapar de la crcel dicindole al alcalde de la prisin que ya no quera ser villano, y que se arrepenta de todo lo que haba hecho y le rogaba lo dejara libre, que gracias a eso haba perdido a su mejor amigo, Servil. Pero recibe una sorpresa, al darse cuenta que en realidad el alcalde de la crcel era Servil disfrazado con ayuda del holoreloj, y va a salvarla. Servil, disfrazado de Megamente, rescata a Roxanne, pero es fatalmente herido en el proceso. Metromn milagrosamente se aparece, pero en realidad es Megamente disfrazado. Se las arregla para intimidar a Titn y decirle que se vaya de Metrocidad , pero accidentalmente le llama "MetroCIDAD" (como siempre lo ha hecho) y Titn logra

descubrirlo. Despus de recibir una paliza de Titn, Megamente lo derrota usando la pistola drenadora para extraerle el ADN de Metromn de su cuerpo, y as despojarle de sus poderes. Hal termina en prisin en el lugar donde encerraban a Megamente, mientras que ste es admirado por los ciudadanos de Metro City como su nuevo defensor. Roxanne acepta a Megamente y consigue a la chica, gracias a que demostr ser un verdadero hroe. Megamente decide que est muy satisfecho con su nuevo papel como el hroe y el novio de Roxanne, cuando un hombre (que no es otro, ms que Metromn disfrazado), en silencio, lo felicita por su nueva decisin.

Argument Megamind (Will Ferrell) is an alien with extraordinary intelligence, just eight days old, is sent to Earth by his parents when his home planet is destroyed by a black hole. However, their spaceship landed in jail in Metro City, thanks to another similar alien baby sent from another planet who lived with a wealthy family, and eventually becomes a superhero known as tubestations (Brad Pitt), a defender of fictional city of Metro City. As a result, Megamind social deviation arises, who is careless destructive for his intelligence, his fellow fish, Servile (David Cross) and only friend. Realizing that his talent is the cause of problems, and jealous of the attention and praise that young tubestations receives Megamind becomes a supervillain to compete against tubestations, although it always frustrates their plans, is assisted by a piranha and the army of "Brainbots" or "Cerebots" as they called in the Latin version. During one of his many attempts to defeat tubestations, Megamind kidnaps Roxanne Ritchi reporter (Tina Fey) and used as bait to attract tubestations the observatory, while Servile, Megamind and Roxanne Ritchie at the observatory "False" built by Megamind, who intends to kill him with lethal beam focused on the strength of the sun, which was calcined at tubestations. Hoping to uncover the evil plans the city has to Megamind, Roxanne breaks Megamind's lair and fight with him using a gun syringe containing serum, which was accidentally shot and injected into Roxanne cameraman, Hal Stewart (Jonah Hill). After learning of the accident and know who he was, Megamind Hal manipulated to become a superhero named Titan, using his supposed "Space Dad" with his "Stepmother space." Unfortunately, at the same time, Roxanne falls in love with and begins dating her disguised as Bernard. Megamind soon begins to have doubts about being a villain, finding more pleasure in a relationship with Roxanne. Servile discover the relationship and discuss with Megamind on the subject, asserting that "the bad guy does not get the girl." Without people willing to stop, Titan begins to wreak havoc in Metro City in retaliation for the rejection of Roxanne and all they ever been called a loser. Megamind attacks Titan with a copper sphere, but is surprised to see her escaping Titan with a bang. Confused about this dilemma, Roxanne Megamind convinces the search for clues to the secret hiding weaknesses tubestations. There, they discover that tubestations still alive (he had a glass with liquid and ice, recent post) and find out who faked his death (and his weakness to copper) so he could retire from being a superhero. Roxanne protest his betrayal. Tubestations said, recounting his story, he could escape the trap of Megamind, but to realize that he had lived all their lives without really making a choice about what they really wanted and live their true passion, music. Roxanne Megamind and try to persuade to defeat Titan, but he refuses. Roxanne asks Megamind not stop fighting, but he refuses, saying he is no hero and that "the villain gets the girl did not." Instead is delivered to the prison to which he always sent him tubestations. When Titan kidnaps Roxanne gives an ultimatum to Megamind, saying that if an hour is not going for Roxanne, she would die. Megamind decides that it is very satisfied with his new role as the hero and groom Roxanne, when a man (which is nothing more than disguised tubestations) silently congratulates him on his new decision.
