1) LAND & MARINE PULLING WINCH


Land Marine Linear Winch is 100 Ton pulling capacity winch, its self weight is 40 Ton. 2) Land marine linear winch is operated by Hydraulic. 3) To operate this winch we required 3 main power pack Driven by Cummins Diesel Engine NT743C coupled to Hydraulic pump. 4) All the three power pack has to run simultaneously at the same time to get the required out put pressure for pulling the pipe. 5) Land Marine Winch is operated by 10 KVA control panel to operate this control panel we require DG.

6) Land Marine Winch have 4 main Hydraulic Jack, 2 no on the front to pull the primary unit and 2 jack on the rear to pull the secondary unit . 7) In the primary and secondary unit there are 2 jaws in each unit, this jaws is connected with small Hydraulic jack. Which is operated by the control panel. When the jack move forward the jaw gets open and when the jack move back the jaw gets closed and at this time the wire rope get clamped in between the two jaws.

8)When the main operation is started the front Primary unit is moved back ward with the help of main jacks 2 no provided on the front at this time the primary unit jaws are in closed position and wire rope is the clamed in between the jaws and wire rope is pulled. 9) When the Primary unit move backward the secondary unit will move in forward direction with help of 2 main jack provided on the rear at this time the secondary unit jaw will be in open position the wire will be passed freely in between the two jaws and the pulled wire are reeled on the bobbin drum.

10) Our linear winches are equipped with computerized load monitoring systems which maintain a record of the pull loads and provide a trend indication against predicted loads. From this information we are able to keep a record of the wire load history and determine what usage factor can safely be utilized if the wire is considered suitable to be re-used

The linear winch works on the principle of pulling wire using twin reciprocating grip boxes powered by pairs of horizontal hydraulic cylinders to haul the wire using a hand over hand principle, the wire is spooled on large reels or drums and stored behind the winch.

MAIN HYDRAULIC DISTRIBUTION CONTROL UNIT (MHDC)


The Main Hydraulic Distributor Control Unit function is, it receive the high pressure hydraulic oil from all the 3 power pack and distribute it to the required pressure to the land marine pulling wing main jack cylinder The MHDC is controlled by solenoid valve and control panel.

3) MAIN POWER PACK 3 NOS

MAIN POWER PACK


The main power pack consist of Engine, Hydraulic Pump, Hydraulic Tank, Diesel Tank ,24 V Battery. To operate the Land Marine winch we need to run all the 3 power pack.

When the power pack engine is started the hydraulic pump coupled with the Engine rotates at 1500 RPM the hydraulic oil is sucked from the hydraulic tank and the high pressure oil is pump to the MHDC unit. The MHDC unit receive the high pressure hydraulic oil and send it to the Land Marine Winch the LMW gets operated when it is controlled by the control panel.

4) MAIN BOBBIN DRUM WITH FRAME

Main Bobbin is to wind the wire rope which is pulled by the Land Marine Pulling Winch (Primary and Secondary Jaw). It is Hydraulic operated One small power pack is provided to operate this winch. The bobbin rotation is controlled by the control panel.

5) SMALL POWER PACK


It is Diesel driven coupled with small hydraulic pump. This power pack is used to rotate the main bobbin in clock wise and anticlock wise direction to wind the wire rope and also to release the wire rope. It is also controlled by the control panel.

6) CONTROL PANEL
To operate this control panel we require 10 kva power supply. We can do auto and also manual operation. We can monitor the load pulled by the land marine winch in the digital display. Total operation of land marine winch, MHDC, Bobbin is control by the control panel.

6) CONTROL PANEL
From the control panel the control socket is connected to Land Marine Pulling winch , to MHDC unit and small Bobbin power pack.

METHODOLOGY FOR OFFSHORE PIPE LAYING Set up of land marine winch over the barge Winch is to be placed over barge. It must be secured welded & positioned on barge. Ensure for necessary strengthening of barge. Rollers placed at the deck level of barge on the front face

Anchor piles driving along with hookup arrangement at specified locations. Position of the barge with winch and its supporting equipment with wire rolled on rollers Tying the base of the winch with the anchor pile. Connecting the winch wire of 35mm rope to pull head on shore

METHODOLOGY FOR OFFSHORE PIPE LAYING


Pulling the pipe string lying over roller pedestal into offshore with winch mounted on the barge. Once the pipe crosses the end roller, floats at specified intervals will be tied to the pipe strings with necessary tying arrangement. Once the string reaches 150 meter from LFP in to sea (beyond wave breaking zone).

The vertical riser will be clamped to the anchor handling barge. Once the pulling of pipe string 250 meters is completed ,next pipe string of 250 meters lying on the pedestal will be pushed on to the rollers with the help of cranes & excavators.

METHODOLOGY FOR OFFSHORE PIPE LAYING The next string is then joined with the first string & necessary tests for joint is completed. Heat shrink sleeve & puff filling to be continued and further pulling continues in line with the above steps till the riser reaches required location.

Once the riser end reaches the pile no.9 of ULP the riser portion shall be fixed to the clamp. After confirming the alignment and after clearance floats will be dehooked from the pipes with the help of divers stationed on boats

METHODOLOGY FOR OFFSHORE PIPE LAYING Then the laid pipe shall be observed for any further settlement & shall be arrested with the clamp mounted on the pile. Simultaneously, the same procedure shall be continued for other set of pipe.
