Synopsis
I come with more than 10 years of experience as a leader in education technology within a large research university environment. Formal training in film/video and education technology allows me to think more creatively and innovatively about the future of higher education. My main focus is to engage faculty and students in the pedagogical application and integration of education technologies. I also possess a proven track record for efficient and effective project management through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Experience
Manager, Media Commons, Education Technology Services, Pennsylvania State University March 01, 2012- Present As the manager for the Penn State Media Commons I currently oversee the budget and operations of 28 physical locations, spread out over 24 commonwealth campuses. The goal of my unit is to assess faculty needs and to map those needs with existing tools and services. My active responsibilities are: Administered large budgets and technology purchasing/life-cycle, with impact across the statewide system Designed and implemented several IRB-approved research studies related to the impact of digital media and blogs on teaching and learning Evaluated emerging technologies to determine potential impact on teaching and learning Serving as lead chair for several large-scale events including a faculty development conference that brings together 450 faculty members to discuss upcoming innovations and initiatives within teaching and learning Envisioning and designing informal learning spaces supporting group work and collaboration Managed vendor relationships and negotiated licensing agreements
