MISSION | ACP

ACP seeks to nurture and support photographers, educate and engage audiences, promote diverse photography venues and enrich Atlantas cultural scene.

PROGRAMS | ACP
During the month of October, Atlanta will be transformed by 200+ simultaneous photographic exhibitions and events featuring the work of almost 1,000 photographers during our annual, month-long, city-wide photo festival! These events are complemented by a strong core of ACP programming. Our programs provide cultural activities and opportunities for people of all ages, and with all levels of interest and knowledge about photography. Most of our programs are free and open to the public.

ACPs programs reach over 100,000 people! Who are they? Photographers, collectors, arts patrons, students, and those who enjoy experiencing and learning more about photography.

This annual push pin show in Piedmont Park celebrates the democratic nature of photography. Open to everyone, the exhibition is open to everyone and will take place on Saturdays in October at the Piedmont Park Community Center.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Urban Adults Students Seniors Family with Children

Following the success of the inaugural Photo Book Fair in 2009, ACP continues to provide an opportunity for photographers who have published books (on their own or with publishers) to show, discuss and sell their books to the public.

A targeted lecture series that allows expansion into programs that offer career, technical or art historical perspectives to benefit photographers and collectors of all levels.

ACPs Public Art Project is significant in its ability to reach beyond the audience of traditional art venues and to expand the way audiences consider photography, exhibited in various locations throughout Atlanta.

Portfolio Review and Walk ACP Collaborations

Sponsored by Turner Broadcasting and their "Turner Voices" initiative, this event offers photographers (selected through a jury process) the opportunity to meet oneon-one with respected international curators, dealers, editors, etc. Afterward, the artists show their work to the public at the Portfolio Walk. ACP Collaborations offer programs that enhance exhibitions during the festival. These selected programs are presented collaboratively between ACP and participating venues. Collaborations offer ACP another way to support the efforts of schools, galleries, and museums. Lectures, artists talks, book signings, panel discussions and photo shoots have been included in these collaborations.

Film Series
The ACP Film Series explores the close connection between photography and film. We are pleased to have collaborated with Andy Ditzler of Frequent Small Meals as our guest curator since 2004.
