The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) is Australias largest association for Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners. The SCLAA has the proven history, governance framework, established representation, value for money and strategic reach to make it the right choice for you.

SCLAA delivers value to Member Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners, and prosperity and competitive advantage to Australia through development of the profession and practice, collaboration with industry stakeholders and promotion and recognition of worlds best practice.

History
Having served the profession for four decades in various forms, most recently as the Logistics Association of Australia, the SCLAA embraces its proud history and benets from its experience and established relationships. However, now is the time to look forward with fresh vision.

Governance
The SCLAA is the truly independent Australian Supply Chain and Logistics association run by Members, for Members. The SCLAA is a registered company, limited by guarantee with an experienced Board of Directors and is proud that its activities are conducted Nationally and via State divisions, in accordance with the wishes of its Members. The SCLAA constitution enshrines: The democratic vote of Members as the ultimate authority, and The opportunity for practical and determinative Member participation in Association aairs. It is a true Member based, not-for-prot association whose proceeds are channelled into Member benets. Given this, the SCLAA: Oers a strong advocacy of the highest standards to develop the profession; Contributes to Australias excellence in Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics; Contributes to the development of the capital, human and intellectual infrastructure necessary to ensure that Australia is internationally competitive in all aspects of Supply Chain and Logistics. Enhances the opportunity to achieve career advancement and enhanced credibility through access to the latest information and networking with fellow professionals and practitioners.

SCLAA Individual Membership

Established Representation
The SCLAA has established divisions in all states providing an active networking and educational events program to meet the needs of its Members. At the National level, the SCLAA conducts annual Supply Chain and Logistics Conference and a National Awards ceremony. At the State level, the local content and avour of events is the strength of the SCLAA. The structure and local representation of the SCLAA at the State level maximises the relevance of activities to its Members. With over 100 diverse activities each year, including Breakfast Briengs, Site Visits, Logistics Lounges and Golf Days all Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners will nd their particular needs catered for. Events may vary State to State.

Value for Money

SCLAAs low Membership fee is less than the subscription cost of the multiple industry magazines that Members receive as part of their membership. With: The ability to network with industry colleagues, prospective customers and suppliers, The opportunity to be ahead of the game in market intelligence, Recognition as a Supply Chain and Logistics industry professional and practitioner, the choice is obvious. The SCLAA oers Corporate Membership packages for multiple Memberships within a company. We exist to service Members, whether they be a corporate or individual Member.

Strategic Reach
Through its reach, and in support of our Members aspirations, the SCLAA is engaged in a number of strategic programs designed to enhance the profession, the industry and the competitive advantage of Australian businesses. The SCLAAs Membership of the Australian Logistics Council (ALC), representation on the Board of GS1 Australia, pivotal role in the establishment of Supply Chain industry round tables and engagement with many other industry and government bodies is indicative, among many other initiatives, of the reach and strategic focus of the SCLAA.

Certied Practising Logistician

The SCLAA operates several collaborative programs with other industry associations designed to enhance benets to Members. Of particular importance the SCLAA has established, in cooperation with TALC and CILTA, the Certied Practising Logistician qualication that will grow over coming years to become the standard for recognition of professional competence in the industry. The SCLAA believes that those promoting further collaboration in representation of Supply Chain and Logistics professionals and practitioners should be encouraged and urges thinking industry Members to support the moves for true collaboration that will take the profession and the industry to the next level.

Corporate Programs
The SCLAA recognises that many companies see the value in visibly supporting the programs that grow the industry, through the profession. The innovative new SCLAA Partners Program offers the opportunity at national and/or state level, according to capacity, to benefit from, support and participate in the affairs of the SCLAA.
