RESEARCH SYNOPSIS

Topic: Terrorism effects on children Introduction Please write down your introduction first. 1) Statement of the problem: Pakistan has been suffering from terrorism over the last one decade. There are several reasons behind it like religious extremism, sectarianism and other social conflicts. Although it has adverse impacts on the whole country and our society but the focus of the study will be on children specifically.

2) Purpose of the study: significance of the study

The main purpose of this study will be on studying and identifying various socio psychological effects of terrorism on children. Define socio nd psychological effect??

3) Universe: locale ( please this locale suppose to be that area where you will go

and collect your datd) This research will cover three main cities which are more vulnerable to terrorist attacks and events, that is, Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi.

4) Scope: no need

This study will be confined with the impacts with special emphasis on children.

5) Objectives: To see the psychological impacts of terrorism on children. To check the media exposure of children regarding terrorism.

To find out other factors that influence children either positively or negatively. Specify the other factors?? Dont go to assumptions

6) Hypothesis:

Higher the involvement higher would be the chances of experiencing psychological disorders.Higher media exposure of terrorist events results in higher deterioration of capacities of children. Higher the geographic proximity of terrorist event higher would be the mental (psychological) illness and bad physical health.Higher the involvement higher would be the difficulties with concentration in academic performance. Strong social support of family and loved ones higher would be the chances of recovery.- make some other hypothesis which reflects your research topic.

7) Methodology:
a) Sampling: purposive sampling will be used for the delimitation of the study.

Data will be collected from 100 respondents- 25 respondents are maximum. in which 40 responses will be from Peshawar and 30 from Karachi and Quetta respectively- please avoid writing unnecessary things.
b) Tools of data collection: Questionnaire will be used for educated

respondents and interview schedule will be used for uneducated respondents.

8) Pre-testing: To check the validity of questions and answers, a few questionnaires and interview schedules will be utilized. If remain valid then the whole data will be collected. You dont have much time for your pre testing. 9) Data analysis:

After collecting the relevant data, the study will passed on through editing, classification, tabulation, findings, verification of hypothesis and suggestions.

10) Duration of the study/Time budgeting: The duration of this research work will be six months.
