2.0 BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

2.1 EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT
CK Mining has developed a comprehensive data base of Mines and Industries in Southern Africa as a source of pre-used equipment. The data base is continuously updated with newly available equipment. Key benefits we offer to our clients include:

The CK Mining operating management data base also has an extensive listing of competitive new equipment suppliers. These suppliers include mineral processing, electrical and mining equipment suppliers. Savings of as much as 30% from conventional new suppliers can be achieved by utilizing our listed suppliers. By utilizing pre-used equipment, our client can save as much as 60% off the new price. Equipment can be offered refurbished with savings of as much as 40% compared to new. Refurbished equipment is offered with guarantees of as much as 12 months depending on client requirements.

2.2 ENQUIRY PROCESSING

All enquiries received are logged on the CK Mining operating data base. Attention is paid to the specific technical and commercial needs of the client. Equipment listed on our data base is compared to the client needs and the unit that meets the requirements is offered to the client with the best possible value. On receipt of an order for the equipment, the project is logged as a sale. Subsequently, we secure the equipment, appraise and generate quality assessment reports for the client. We actively manage all logistics and keep the client fully informed via Microsoft project delivery schedules. Usually reports are submitted on a weekly basis.

3.0 MANAGEMENT TEAM

The management team consists of the following: Two qualified Metallurgical Engineers (BSc) with 8 yrs experience of which 2 years was spent in Zambia at Metallurgical plants and the remaining in South Africa in the equipment supply industry. One qualified Chemical Engineer (BSc) with 6 yrs experience in the management of a metallurgical plant and 8 yrs experience in equipment supply to the Mining Industry One qualified Financing expert (BA) with 8 Corporate Finance and accounting experience One qualified Mining Engineer (BSc) with 5 years experience in Open Cast and Underground Mining. One qualified Metallurgical Engineer with a Masters Degree in Extractive Metallurgy with 6 years experience DC arc furnace operation and modelling.
