University of the Philippines Theatre Council (UPTC)

The most active and duly recognized theater organization of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Founded on July 11, 1993. It happened when a small group of theater majors established the name of UP THEATER COUNCIL under Mr. John Neil "Ilao" Batalla. The purpose of the council is to hone theater enthusiasts of the university in the fields of performance and production work. It provides members with workshops and hands-on training for them to get the feel of legitimate theater. UP Theater Council continues to bring theatrical excellence through its heritage of craftsmanship and artistry.

2011 Baler, Aurora & UPTC-Ka-Teatro Workshop

Natasha Nat Cabrera sings and acts for commercial and stage performances. She was last seen as
Twinkle in ABS-CBNs Sabel and TIDE Dirt Magnets commercial. She essayed the roles Zelima in Francisco Baltazars Orozman at Zafira, Margie/Mei-Mei in Ricardo Saludos Silent Soprano, Nogina Jones in Floy Quintos Shock Value all for Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas.

Samanta Sam Hannah Clarin manages stage and production for theatre productions and events. She
has worked with directors Tony Mabesa, Anton Juan Jr., Bart Guingona, Jos Estrella, among others. She managed theatre productions such as Passion of the Christ (2007), Orosman at Zafira (2008), and Amphitryon (2010), all for Dulaang UP. theatre productions. She also handles theatre workshops for children and youth. She was last seen in Dulaang UPs Amphitryon as Charice.

Lucky Lucky Dreena De Mesa, a freelance actress, she also directs and choreographs for events and

Carlo CVP Villafuerte Pagunaling is an emerging costume designer of this generation. Mentored by
professional theatre artists like Tony Mabesa, Ogie Juliano, Lu Decenteceo, Jos Estrella, among others, he styles and designs costumes for stage production, recital, events, and commercials. Recently, he codesigned costumes for Amphitryon (2011, Dulaang UP), Gay Divas (2011, PETA), and Ondine (2011, UP Los Banos).

Loren Loren C. Riveras areas of interest are technical direction and lighting design for theater. She
mostly worked as technical director for Dulaang UP; she has also worked for Center for International Studies at the UP where she served as stage manager and lighting designer for Dr. Naohiko Umewaka, noh master for shite.

Bryan Bry L. Viray teaches Humanities, Literature, and Theatre Arts subjects at the Polytechnic

University of the Philippines, Manila. His areas of interest are Philippine Performance Studies (Ritual and Theatre), Oral Interpretation, Dramaturgy, and Production & Stage Management. He has handled theater workshops since 2007 for College of Music, UP Diliman, Dept of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts, UP Diliman Summer Acting Workshop (2010), UP Cherubim and Seraphim (2010). He has also directed and/or written devises such as Carancal at ang Dagat-Bayan, Dulayawit from Rene Villanuevas Si Carancal, bayaning isang dangkal and Hansel and Gretel (Peter Haddock Publishing) for Little Stars Pre-School Productions.
