From the East: Brothers, it is hard to believe that this is my last Trestleboard. This busy year has flown past quickly. I want to thank all of the officers for their service, the Past Masters for their guidance and support, and the membership for their help and fellowship. I especially want to thank the wives and families for supporting each of our members in their service to this fraternity. It was a tremendous honor to serve as Worshipful Master and I look forward to assisting the needs of this lodges future officers. Brothers, is with sadness that we will drape the altar this month as our brother, Harmon Bonner has been taken to the Celestial Lodge above. We will have only one Stated Communication this month. th December 5 will be Election Night and we will be dark on the th 19 . The 11 and 12 District Meeting will be held at W.B. Barnett st Lodge #187 on the 21 and there will be no School of Instruction. We will have a called Communication on December 27, St. John the Evangelist Day. At 5:30, we will close the Funeral Lodge and open the Lodge for the Installation. There will be a dinner at 6:30 with the Installation of the 2012 Officers at 7:30. This is an evening for family and friends to meet and support our new officers. We will be dark on January 2 . I know this is a busy season but remember to sign up to ring the Salvation Army Bell. For those with children or grandchildren, this is an easy way to teach charity and service to them by bringing them along. I know that my son looks forward to it each year. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season. May 2012 be a great year for this lodge and all of our families. I wish the best for our incoming officers and thank each of them for their service.

My Brothers Thank you!!! Another year is behind us and it completes my ninth year as your Secretary. I feel so blessed to be associated with such a wonderful group of men. I am truly impressed by the cooperation and generousness of the Membership. I have been challenged some physically this year but there has always been someone ready to help and I greatly appreciate that. There are some strong indications that this last surgery corrected a lot of my problems. With the good Lords help Im beginning to look forward to the coming year and continued service to the Lodge in whatever capacity is needed. Im sorry that my physical problems have delayed getting out the dues notices and dues cards for 2012. Im working on them now and should have them in your hands very soon. Your patience is appreciated. Perpetual Members will be receiving a more durable, plastic card instead of paper ones this year. This will simplify the process quite a bit. However your generous donations in addition will significantly help the Lodge coffers. Thanks again.
