Nooh ( Al ayhi sal aam) sai d t o hi s nat i on:
I convey unt o you t he Messages of my Lord and gi ve si ncere advi ce t o you. And I know f rom Al l aah what you know not . (Al -A'raf 7: 62)
Hood ( Al ayhi sal aam) sai d:
I convey unt o you t he Messages of my Lord, and I am a t rust wort hy advi ser (or wel l -wi sher) f or you. (Al -A'raf 7: 68)
Saal i h ( Al ayhi sal aam) sai d:
Then he [ Saal i h] t urned f rom t hem, and sai d: O my peopl e! I have i ndeed conveyed t o you t he Message of my Lord, and have gi ven you good advi ce but you l i ke not good advi sers. (Al -A'raf 7: 79)
Shu ayb ( Al ayhi sal aam) sai d:
Then he (Shu'ayb) t urned f rom t hem and sai d: O my peopl e! I have i ndeed conveyed my Lord's Messages unt o you and I have gi ven you good advi ce. Then how can I sorrow f or t he di sbel i evi ng peopl e's (dest ruct i on). (Al -A'raf 7: 93)

Imaam al -Bukhaar i , may Al l aah have mer cy upon hi m, r epor t ed on t he aut hor i t y of Umar ( Radi y Al l aahu Anhu) who sai d t hat t he Messenger of Al l aah ( Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) sai d,
Ver i l y, deeds ar e but by i nt ent i on and ever y per son wi l l r ecei ve what t hey i nt ended. Thus, he whose mi gr at i on was f or Al l aah and Hi s Messenger , t hen hi s mi gr at i on i s f or Al l aah and Hi s Messenger ; and he whose mi gr at i on was t o achi eve some wor l dl y gai n or t o mar r y a woman, t hen hi s mi gr at i on i s f or t hat whi ch he i nt ended. 1

So he wi l l l ook t o hi s r i ght and he wi l l not see except t hat whi ch he has pr epar ed; he wi l l l ook t o hi s l ef t and not see except whi ch he has done and he wi l l l ook i n f r ont of hi m and he wi l l not see except t he hel l f i r e i n f r ont of hi s f ace. And Al l aah, t he Mi ght y and Maj est i c, di d not cr eat e us i n pl ay. The Most Hi gh sai d:
Di d you t hi nk t hat We had creat ed you i n pl ay (wi t hout any purpose), and t hat you woul d not be brought back t o Us? (Al -Mu'mi noon 23: 115)

We creat ed not t he heavens and t he eart h and al l t hat i s bet ween t hem except wi t h t rut h, and f or an appoi nt ed t erm. But t hose who di sbel i eve t urn away f rom t hat whereof t hey are warned. (Al -Ahqaaf 46: 3)
Inst ead, He cr eat ed us f or a gr eat pur pose.
He, t he Most Hi gh sai d:
And I (Al l aah) creat ed not t he j i nn and manki nd except t hat t hey shoul d worshi p Me (Al one). (Adh-Dhaari yaat 51: 56)
Wor shi p l i ngui st i cal l y means: Submi ssi on and humi l i t y. And i t i s sai d (i n t he Ar abi c l anguage): a pat h i s Mu abbad (l evel l ed or t r odden). Level l ed meani ng Mudhal l al (r ender ed submi ssi ve).

Know t hat t he l i f e of t hi s worl d i s onl y pl ay and amusement , pomp and mut ual boast i ng among you, and ri val ry i n respect of weal t h and chi l dren, as t he l i keness of veget at i on af t er rai n, t hereof t he growt h i s pl easi ng t o t he t i l l er; af t erwards i t dri es up and you see i t t urni ng yel l ow; t hen i t becomes st raw. But i n t he Hereaf t er (t here i s) a severe t orment (f or t he di sbel i evers, evi l -doers), and (t here i s) Forgi veness f rom Al l aah and (Hi s) Good Pl easure (f or t he bel i evers, good-doers), whereas t he l i f e of t hi s worl d i s onl y a decei vi ng enj oyment . (Al -Hadeed 57: 20)

mi ngl es wi t h i t , and becomes f resh and green. But (l at er) i t becomes dry and broken pi eces, whi ch t he wi nds scat t er. And Al l aah i s Abl e t o do everyt hi ng. (Al -Kahf 18: 45)
The Most Hi gh sai d:
Veri l y t he l i keness of (t hi s) worl dl y l i f e i s as t he wat er (rai n) whi ch We send down f rom t he sky, so by i t ari ses t he i nt ermi ngl ed produce of t he eart h of whi ch men and cat t l e eat unt i l when t he eart h i s cl ad wi t h i t s adornment s and i s beaut i f i ed, and i t s peopl e t hi nk t hat t hey have al l t he powers of di sposal over i t , Our Command reaches i t by ni ght or by day and We make i t l i ke a cl ean-mown harvest , as i f i t had not f l ouri shed yest erday! Thus do We expl ai n t he Ayt (proof s, evi dences, verses, l essons, si gns, revel at i ons, l aws, et c. ) i n det ai l f or t he peopl e who ref l ect . (Yunus 10: 24)

An Ar ab Bedoui n came t o t he Pr ophet (Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) and sai d, Di r ect me t o somet hi ng t hat i f I per f or med i t , I woul d ent er Par adi se. The Pr ophet ( Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) r esponded, Wor shi p Al l aah and do not associ at e anyt hi ng as a par t ner wi t h Hi m. Est abl i sh t he pr ayer , gi ve zakaat and f ast Ramadhaan. The Bedoui n sai d, By t he One Who my soul i s i n Hi s Hand I wi l l not i ncr ease upon t hat . So when t he Bedoui n depar t ed t he Pr ophet (Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) sai d, Whoever woul d be pl eased t o l ook at a man f r om t he peopl e of par adi se t hen l ook at hi m.
Imaam Al -Bukhaar i r epor t s on t he aut hor i t y of Anas i bn Maal i k (Radi y Al l aahu Anhu) t hat he sai d,
If t he Pr ophet ( Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) went t o Qubaa he woul d vi si t Umm Har am bi nt Mi l haan who used t o f eed hi m, and she was t he wi f e of Ubaadah Ibn as- Saami t . He ent er ed upon her one day, so she f ed hi m and t hen t he Messenger of Al l aah ( Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) sl ept and t hen he woke up whi l st l aughi ng. She sai d, What makes you l augh O Messenger of Al l aah? He r esponded, A peopl e f r om my Ummah wer e shown t o me whi l st t hey wer e upon a mi l i t ar y expedi t i on i n t he pat h of Al l aah. They wi l l r i de t he sur f ace of t he sea l i ke ki ngs upon t hei r t hr ones. So she sai d, Suppl i cat e t o Al l aah t hat He makes me f r om t he f i r st of t hem. He r epl i ed, "You wi l l be f r om t he f i r st of t hem. " She act ual l y di d t r avel t he sea and t hi s was at t he t i me of Mu'aawi yah. If t hey (act i ons and speech) wer e evi l , t hen she wi l l be r ewar ded wi t h evi l . If t hey (act i ons and speech) wer e good, t hen she wi l l be r ewar ded wi t h good.

Mu aadh (Radi y Al l aahu anhu) sai d t o hi m: Wi l l we be hel d t o account f or t hat whi ch we speak wi t h our t ongues? The Pr ophet (Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) (upon hear i ng t hi s) hi t Mu aadh s t hi gh and sai d, O Mu aadh! May your mot her be ber eaved of you, or he sai d: "Maasha Al l aah, " t hat he sai d t hi s t o hi m. He ( Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) sai d: Is t her e anyt hi ng t hat causes t he peopl e t o be dr agged on t hei r nose t o t he Hel l f i r e except t hat whi ch t hei r t ongues ut t er ed? In a lofty Paradise, the fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! Soorah Al-Haqqah (69):19-24

But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! And that I had never known how my Account is? I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! My wealth has not availed me, my power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!" (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, then throw him in the blazing Fire. Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" Verily, He used not to believe in Allh, the Most Great, And urged not on the feeding of AlMiskn (the poor), So no friend has he here this Day, nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, none will eat except the Khti'n (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). They sai d: Al l aah and Hi s Messenger know best . He sai d: Ment i oni ng your br ot her wi t h t hat whi ch he di sl i kes. It was sai d t o t he Pr ophet (Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am): Even i f what I ment i on about my br ot her i s t r ue? He (Sal l a Al l aahu Al ayhi wa sal l am) sai d: If what you have sai d concer ni ng hi m i s t r ue, t hen sur el y you have backbi t t en hi m; and i f what you sai d i sn t t r ue, t hen sur el y you have sl ander ed hi m.
