BACK GROUND
Angke Kapuk Forest is mangrove forest that
remained in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. of land use. In the era of 1980s, the development of new settlements spent hundreds hectare of the forest.
In 1989 total area was 327.70 ha, consisted: protected forest (44.76 ha), recreation forest (99.82 ha), nature game reserve (25.02 ha), forest for specific purposes such as nursery (10.51 ha), electric transmission (23.07), Cengkareng drain (28.93 ha) and highway & green belt (95.50 ha).

097/Kpts-II/98: Changing of nature reserve of Muara Angke became Muara Angke Game Reserve. Muara Angke Game Reserve located at 6o066o10 South Latitude and 106o43-106o48 East Longitude with the area of 25.02 ha. Management plan was not well arranged yet.

PROPOSED BUDGET
Total budget of 5 Billion Rupiah ( US $ 500,000) is needed for: MAGR management development as limited natural outdoor recreation (ecotourism) through facilities construction, habitat rehabilitation, water pollution management, and extension service for the local communities.
