Important Safeguards and Warnings


1Electrical safety All installation and operation here should conform to local electrical safety codes. We assume no liability or responsibility for all the fires or electrical shock caused by improper handling or installation. 2Transportation security Heavy stress, violent vibration or water splash are not allowed during transportation, storage and installation. 3Installation Keep upwards. Handle with care. Do not apply power to the DVR before completing installation. Do not place objects on the DVR 4Qualified engineers needed All the examination and repair work should be done by the qualified service engineers. We are nor liable for any problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted repair. 5Environment The DVR should be installed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, inflammable, explosive substances and etc. The power supply is DC 12V 3A, please use power supply from the whole package you purchased. Dont insert metal into the DVR, this action maybe will cause an electric shock Dont poll liquid into the DVR, this action maybe will cause short circuit inside the DVR. Keep the products clean and dry. Never hot plug any hardware; this action maybe will damage the ports of them.. Please use the standard lithium battery. If the system clock can not work, please replace the standard 3 V lithium batteries on the motherboard.

DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER

Open the upper case of system and install hard disk on the four position holes. Connect the power line and the date line to the motherboard.(Support the SATA and IDE Hard disk, two HDD can work together) Tighten the screws after fixing the upper case, press the switch button to run the system. Remark: Please use the incidental power supply ; if use other power supply ,maybe it will cause some problems

Connect Audio and Video Input/Output


Connect video signal from the BNC interface to the video interface of the back panel, use the video line to connect the video output to VGA interface. Connect the audio signal from AV interface to the audio interface of the back panel, use audio line to connect the audio output to the speaker.

2.5 Boot /Format Hard Disk


Enter the start menu after starting run this system Check the hard disk automatically, and the system will pops-up a window to remind user if to format the HDD or not, press [OK/PTZ] to confirm format the hard disk.

After formatting the Hard disk, user can enter into the preview menu.

Channel setup

(// / ) to choose channel [OK] to confirm open or close If close the channel ,it will show NO VIDEO

Recorder setup

(// / ))to choose channel [OK] to confirm open or close It will stop recording if selectclose, and can not setup the record frame rate.

Record frame rate setup

(// / ) to choose channel to add frame rate [STOP] to reduce the recorder frame rate Total frames: PAL:50 fps; NTSC: 60 fps (Choose the frames for each channel flexibly)

Record quality

Press [OK] to choose video quality grade for recording: High middlelow. The higher of the video quality grade, the better of video quality, the bigger of the size of recorded file

3.6

Schedule

Setup the record mode from every hour to 24 hours ( / ) to choose time ,[ok] to choose the record mode, repeat [OK] to switch the record mode; ( ( ) no record,( ) record: normal record detection record and alarm record )Sensor recordmotion

Remark: After setting the schedule, press ( REC) , the setup will take effect, otherwise it will not start to record.

3.7

Sensor Setup

Sensor record time: set record time if the alarm triggered. Alarm on time: choose the alarm time if the alarm triggered. There are three options: when it is ON, the system will not stop recording nor alarming. When it is OFF, the system will not record nor alarm. When it is any time of (5,10,15,20,25,30s), it will record or alarm according to the set time

H/W Sensor Setup: choose channel for alarm mode Select on to enable the alarm, select not installed to disable to alarm Remark: All settings are according to the sensor that you are using.

Motion detection setup Open/Close:[OK] to open or close the motion detection , press to choose channel, and [OK] to setup area of the motion detection. Sensitivity of motion detection: 0,1,2,3. Select 0 to cancel the motion detection. 1 is the lowest sensitivity,3 is the highest sensitivity. [STOP] to choose the sensitivity

3.8

Hard drive setup

Overwrite Enabled: the recorded file will be deleted if the hard driver is full after selecting Yes ; the system will stop recording and the recorded file will not be deleted even if the hard driver is full after selecting No Display the information and capacity of the hard disk and use information Hard disk format: format the hard disk and all data on hard disk will be deleted. The default password to format the hard disk is: 111111

Remark: Connect 2pcs hard disks, support SATA and IDE at the same time . HDD can be more than 320 G

3.9

Miscellaneous setup
Change Password: change the system password, the default password is : 111111 NOTE: If user forgets the password, just take off the button battery on the motherboard and re-install it 10 minutes later. Re-start the system, it will recover to the default password. Set time: ( / ) to choose time ,[OK] to change number. Hidden channel: If one channel is hidden, user can not get video on the preview menu but could record normally,[OK] to choose the channel that you want to hidden. Audio port setup: select the audio channel, choose (on/off) to record with audio or not.

NOTE: The system has 2 audio input, 1 audio output. If user want to listen the audio from another channel, press [AUDIO]button on the control to switch the channel to listen-in, press [MUTE] to on/off the audio .

PTZ Setup Speed: 2400,4800,9600,19200,38400(for option),pressOK to choose Protocol: PELCO-D,PELCO-P for option;pressOKto choose. Channel: choose the channel with PTZ camera,[OK] to choose. Address / to choose address NOTE: PELCO-D to choose 1, PELCO-P to choose address 2

Language setup:[OK] to choose language, support Chinese and English


3.10 Network setup

MAC: the physical address , ()to choose number,[OK] to confirm.

NOTE: MAC address should be start from00; the rest number can not be all 00norFF. There will not exist the same MAC address in the same network . IP allocation: DHCP or STATIC. IP addresssetup IP address Subnet masksetup subnet mask Gatewaysetup gateway DNS addresssetup DNS address HTTP portSetup WEB protocol port ,the default is 80 User setup: two authorized users can access network, one is ADMIN who have all rights to operation; another is normal user who only could preview. DDNS settings: DNS ISP and register domain name .Setup DDNS according the register information.

3.11 Video backup


[OK] to setup the start time and end time , (OK) to setup time The system will calculate the size of the file after setup time , [OK] to choose device to backup. Two methods for backup: one is backup to CD/DVD, another is backup to USB device NOTE: Backup file is .MCG format, user should use the player we provided to play it

3.12 Reset Menu

Enter the correct password, the system setup will renew to the default status. About password setup, please reference to 3.9.

Chapter 4
4.1

Playback

Playback
Click [play] button to enter playback mode, system will play the latest recorded file automatically. Two playback modes: events list, time list. Press [MENU] during playback to enter the recorded file lists, the default status is events list, the latest recorded file is on the top. () to choose the files that user want to play, press[PLAY] to start.

Press[MENU] to back to the playback mode from the playback lists. to choose event lists or time lists. (OK) to setup time for playback, press[PLAY] to start. If there is no recorded file, it will show NO VIDEO on the screen.

Chapter 5

Player software

The backup files are MCG format. User has to use the player in the software CD to play it. From the software CD, user will find ICON as below, click it to run it:

6.1 Setup and install IE

2. Select securityCustom level, enable all the ActiveX and plug- in

3.Confirm it and click yes

4. Go back to the internet explore windows, type the IP address of DVR to remote view

6.2 IE Browser
1. Type the IP address of DVR, User will get remind of downloading an ActiveX, please press confirm, and download it. if the ActiveX could not download ,please click if the Active could not download, click here download ,after downloading , please double click to install. 2. After install ActiveX and will pop up the windows as follow. If this window doesnt pop up, please close this IE page and open another one, type the IP address correctly.

and will pop up the login windows, enter the user name and password, the default user 3.Click name and password both are : ADMIN

Chapter 7 System Mode


The DVR supports PAL and NTSC format. Before delivering, it should be set with correct system according to different market. Once user receives DVR with improper system, user can adjust the correct system through the jump line on the motherboard JS1.
