ACT Review classes are designed to prepare students for taking the ACT exam. Actual sample test questions will be used and test-taking techniques and strategies for improving scores will be covered. These classes are valuable for students needing a review program to meet entrance-level requirements for colleges, entrance-level requirements for special programs of study, and scholarship eligibility levelsincluding the Promise Scholarships. All sessions will be taught by an experienced ACT Review instructor noted for assisting students in attaining results.
Directions to KVCTCs Workforce and Economic Development Division Located at 1701 5th Avenue; Charleston, WV 25387 From I-77 or I-64 W: Washington St. Exit (58C)
1. Go straight on Pennsylvania Ave. (toward river); 2. Turn right (west) onto Kanawha Blvd.; travel 1.2 miles on Kanawha Boulevard to where it ends; 3. Get in the right lane; follow signs for WV Rte. 25; 4. Merge onto Patrick St., get into the left lane; follow arrows for Rte. 25; 5. Continue with directions below: 6. Turn left onto 7th Avenue (follow arrows to Rte. 25); 7. Turn left onto Iowa Street (left turn lane at stop light); get in the right lane; travel approximately 1 block and 8. Keep left onto 5th Avenue (at Charleston Cut Flowers); 9. Turn right into the Schoenbaum Family Enrichment Centers parking lot (immediately past the Airgas facility) 10. KVCTCs Workforce & Economic Development Division is located in Suite 142. Registration: Registration is established upon receipt of the class fee and the registration form. Classes must have a minimum of ten students. A waiting list will be established when classes are full. Additional sections will be added if sufficient interest.
Cancellations: Students will be notified if workshops are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment and full refunds will be made. Cancellations due to weather conditions occur only when Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College classes are cancelled. Listen to local radio and television stations for such announcements.
