Cisco IP Phone 7941/7961 Phone Overview

This is a general overview of the most commonly used features

Feature Buttons/Menus
Directories

Buttons

1. Call Volume While on a call, adjust the volume, press the save softkey 2. Ring Volume While handset is in the cradle, adjust volume 1. Press Speaker button to answer the phone using the speaker 2. Press Speaker button to switch to the speaker during a call 3. To end a Speaker call press the speaker button 1. Press Mute to turn the mute feature on 2. Press Mute to turn the mute feature off 1. Press headset button to activate the headset Allows you to scroll through menus and highlight items. Use in conjunction with softkeys to activate highlighted items.

Hold Transfer
Hold Hold EndCall EndCall Transf Transf more more 1. Press the Hold softkey to place a call on hold 2. Press the Resume softkey to resume the call from hold 1. Press the Transfer softkey and dial the target number 2. Announce the call if desired and press the Transfer softkey To transfer directly to someones voice mail press Transfer dial * then the extension and then press Transfer again 1. Press the more softkey and then press the Confrn softkey 2. Dial the target number and press the Confrn softkey again 3. Repeat until all parties have been conference in 1. Highlight the call you would like to add to the conversation using the navigation button 2. Press the more softkey twice and then press the join softkey 1. Press the more softkey and then press the park softkey 2. Note the park number displayed and then hang up Anyone can pick the call up by dialing the park number

To cancel a transfer, press End call after the transfer has been initiated and then press the Resume softkey to resume the call you were trying to transfer.
