The Company also has significant presence in most of the other businesses it operates in, namely, Refinery & Oil Field Services [ROFS], Leather / Performance Chemicals, Logistics Infrastructure, etc. SBU GREASES & LUBRICANTS Balmer Lawrie set up its first unit at Sewree in Mumbai in 1934 and another one in Kolkata in 1937 for manufacturing our own brand of lubricants. Ever since, people in the company are inspired by the principle and beliefs that stimulated them of their heritage and has derived strength from the past. Today Balmer Lawrie enjoys a pride of place as one of the ten largest grease manufacturers in Asia and the largest grease producer in India. We are spread from East-West & North-South and have manufacturing units in Kolkata, Sewree, Silvassa and Chennai to produce BALMEROL brand of lubricants. 13 Project Engineer Assistant/ Deputy Manager (Jr. Management); Officers Grade E2/ E3 B.E./B.Tech.- Civil. Candidates with M. Tech./ME specializing in Civil/ Structural Engg will be preferred. The incumbent among other things will be responsible for the following: The candidate should have work experience preferably in a consultancy organization of repute handling multi disciplinary engineering work in the areas of infrastructure building, oil & gas, power etc. Design of steel and concrete structures, especially industrial projects. Structural analysis of concrete and steel structures. Interpretation of technical reports (Structural audit report, soil investigation report, material test reports) Development and analysis of new materials and methods and their impact on design and structure. Review of vendor drawings, fabrication drawings, product data sheets etc. Technical approvals. Preparation of tender document and material take-off. Site supervision & certification of contractors bill. Should have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Should have practical understanding of structures, specifications and detailed drawings for buildings and other structures. Familiarity with IS Codes as regards Steel & concrete design will be preferred.
