In this lesson you will choose some maths problems and write the answers.

Choose a maths worksheet and answer the questions. When you finish get the answers from the teacher.

Part 2: Make your own


In your notebooks write your own maths problems using words, like the problems on the worksheets. Make 5 ~ 10 problems and give them to your friend.

Difficult Maths I
Write the answers in your notebook. 1. Jill needs to earn enough money to buy a new skateboard that costs $48.50. She has $12.54. How much money does she need to buy the skateboard? 2. Matt is going on a walk-a-thon. For every 1/2 mile he walks he gets 75 cents. When he finished his walk he raised $3.75. How far did he walk? 3. How many hours are there in 1 week, 3 and 1/2 days? 4. The caterpillar is trying to crawl up the tree. It takes it 2 minutes to climb 1 foot, but it falls back 6 inches each time it reaches 1 foot. How long will it take the caterpillar to crawl to the top of the 8 foot tree? 5. Paula broke half as many balloons as Perry broke. Altogether they broke 18 balloons. How many balloons did Perry break? 6. My mom said I could have all of the nickels and dimes in her wallet. It totals $1.35. How many nickels and dimes do I have? 7. Ivan is putting books in his bookcase. He has already put 74 books in the bookcase but he has 225 books. How many more books does he have to put in the bookcase? 8. Amber has 36 candies to share among herself and 3 friends. How many candies will each of them receive? 9. Ken gets allowance funds every day. On Monday he gets 1 cent, on Tuesday he gets 2 cents, on Wednesday he gets 3 cents, on Thursday he gets 4 cents and so on. How much money will he have by the by the 12th day? 16th day? 10. It takes 90 days to save enough money for a new book I want. Estimate how many months that is?

Difficult Maths II
Write the answers in your notebook. 1. You have 12 mp3 songs on your computer. 1/4 of them don't work. How many mp3's do you have to buy to replace the ones that don't work? 2. You have 5 mini pizzas to share with 4 friends. You're cutting the pizzas in half, how much will each friend get? How can you make sure the leftovers get shared equally? 3. Jill is learning to type. She can type 15 words per minute. How long will it take her to type her story of 90 words? 4. If you ate a pizza and a half in a day and a half. How many pizzas would you eat in a 7 day week? 5. It is 7:45 AM and you are having friends over at 1:30 PM. How many hours and minutes do you have to wait for your friends to come over? 6. You have blue pants, green pants and a blue shirt, red shirt and orange shirt. How many different outfits can you make? 7. You have paid the cashier 2 twenty dollar bills for a $28.50 purchase. What change will you get? 8. There are 30 legs in my backyard, but I'm counting dogs and kids. How may kids and dogs are in my backyard?

Easy Maths I
Write the answers in your notebook. 1. Jane has 9 balloons. 6 are green and the rest are blue. How many balloons are blue? 2. Sam ate 7 cookies and Jane ate 2 cookies. How many more candy canes did Sam eat than Jane? 3. Kyle got 3 new shirts on his birthday. If he already had 5, how many shirts does he have now? 4. You have to share your 8 candies with your sister. How many will each of you get? 5. Liquorice are 5 cents. How many liquorice can you buy with 10 cents? 6. How many corners are on 2 squares? 7. I saw 2 cats and 1 dog outside. How many legs did I see?

Easy Maths II
Write the answers in your notebook. 1. I have 8 balls, half of them are red. How many are red? 2. Today is Monday and my birthday is in 5 more days. What day is my birthday on? 3. I have a nickel and 3 pennies, how much money do I have altogether? 4. I see two triangles, how many corners are there altogether on two triangles? 5. There are 24 seats on a large school bus. If three children occupy each seat, how many children can the bus carry? 6. Stephen's parents give him an allowance of twenty-five cents per day. How much money will Stephen have at the end of a week? 7.A baker puts six tea buns on a tray. If he has 20 trays to fill, how many buns will he have to bake to fill all the trays? 8. A corner store owner made some surprise teat bags. He had one hundred twenty treats and wanted to put 5 in each bag. How many bags did he fill?

A lemur can jump 10 metres? If it makes eight of these jumps to its den to escape an enemy, how far has the lemur jumped?
