It may be just the beginning of winter but we are very
excited about our move to Harriman State Park this summer. Mike Halpern and Lisa Nicotra, our Day Camp Directors, and the rest of our sta are very busy with some exciting plans for our new Day Camp facility. We are adding to the dock system at beautiful Upper Twin Lake to enable us to have five cribs for teaching beginning swimmers as well as a deep water area for experienced swimmers. We will have buildings for changing, arts & crafts, inrmary, drama, dance and more. Our new sports elds are fantastic and we are very excited about the potential as we develop our quality Day Camp programs at the new Mosholu Day Camp at Harriman State Park. There is also a lot happening at The Center. Our new Rock Climbing Wall, funded by the LeBron James Family Foundation, has already started to be enjoyed by some children learning how to climb and were hoping to start some classes for adults. Our refurbished Energy Fitness Center is just the place to work off those extra holiday pounds! Weve made it bigger to serve more people and our very reasonable yearly membership fees can now be deducted from your credit cards each month. We are also busy registering for Little League. Boys and girls, 5yrs. to 15yrs., enjoy a fun-filled spring season of baseball but remember you must reg- ister now for spring or you will be closed out. Our FrEE Teen Centers are also in full swing serving youth, 12 1/2yrs. - 18yrs., at our main building on Dekalb Ave. and Gun Hill Road, P.S. 8 Beacon on Briggs Ave. in Bedford Park, P.S. 86 Beacon by the Armory in Kingsbridge Heights, MS 113 in Williams Bridge, MS 142 in Baychester, and our Youth Center at Edenwald Houses. Dont forget our Senior Centers here at our main building and at Marble Hill Houses, Monday - Friday 9am-4pm, with great lunches, classes and friends.
