Try to identify how you can break difficult problems down into simpler steps, showing your working as you go Practise standard written methods for multiplication and division, and try to learn the rules of BIDMAS Learn how to convert between fractions, decimals and percentages; practise solving number problems using these Practise solving simple equations with one letter, for example n+7 = 17, or 3x=12
