Recent scientic literature suggests a strong relationship between oral disease and other systemic diseases and medical conditions.
A new relationship between dentistry and medicine is now developing regarding patient care. As the oral systemic connection is more clearly understood, dentists will play a greater role in the overall health of their patients. Many times, the rst signs of unnatural systemic health conditions reveal themselves in changes within the oral cavity. The purpose of this two-day course with hands-on workshops is to provide the attendee with an overall understanding of the latest scientic ndings, the individual areas of concern, the dentist/physician connection and the tools/procedures necessary for the dentist to provide a Total Health approach to their practice.
