1 Cor.

1:18 "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." I hear alot today about the "power of God", but it is not usually in the context of scripture. Many will say to me, I have seen the "power of God" move in the service and people were running the isles. That is NOT the power of GOD. As a matter of fact we will not know the "Power of GOD" unless we are preaching the cross. (1 Cor. 15:3-4) "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also receiv ed, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1Co 1:20-25 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of th is world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the fooli shness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the G reeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is s tronger than men. Gal 6:12-14 (12) As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ . (13) For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire t o have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. (14) But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Ch rist, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Gal 4:28-29 (28) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. (29) But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Gal 6:12-13 (12) As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ . (13) For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire t o have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. Php 3:18-21 (18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weepi ng, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: (19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) (20) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviou r, the Lord Jesus Christ: (21) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glo

rious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all thing s unto himself. 1Co 15:53-56 (53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal s hall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is w ritten, Death is swallowed up in victory. (55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (56) The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 1Co 15:57 (57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus C hrist.

Rev 7:10-14 (10) And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth up on the throne, and unto the Lamb. (11) And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, (12) Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honou r, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. (13) And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are a rrayed in white robes? and whence came they? (14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. "Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah." Psalms 3:8 Act 4:12 (12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name unde r heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-11) "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised fro m the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner." 2Co 4:1-7 (1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; (2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftine ss, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. (3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, s hould shine unto them. (5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in o ur hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the po wer may be of God, and not of us.
