CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP
Cub Scout Day Camps are offered throughout
the summer in various geographical areas of
middle Tennessee. This program, which runs
0RQGD\WKURXJK)ULGD\RIIHUVDIXQOOHGZHHN
of challenging Cub Scout activities, exciting
adventures and new friendships. Programs
during the week include water excitement,
archery and bb shooting sports, crafts, nature
projects, scout skills and many other themed
activities. All areas place a special emphasis
on safety. Activities will vary between camp
locations.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Day camp is for Cub Scouts who will be in 1st-
WKJUDGHLQWKHIDOORI$OOLQFRPLQJUVW
graders must have an adult partner attend
camp with him.
VOLUNTEERS FOR STAFF
To ensure a successful and safe Day Camp
program for our Cub Scouts, volunteers are
needed to staff program areas and guide
the Cubs through each days activities. No
experience is necessary! Cub Packs must
provide a minimum of 1 adult volunteer each
day for every four(4) Cub Scouts attending from
your pack. Many of the camps offer a tag along
program for staff volunteers. The area is staffed
by adults who have planned activities for the
youth. Tag-a-longs must be at least two years old
and potty-trained.
REGISTRATION
A list of day camp locations is listed on page 6.
You may register and pay online or mail in the
application. A health form must be completed
for each camper. Visit www.mtcbsa.org under
Camps and Facilities for registration and
a health form.
FEES
Cost: $80 Registration Fee (includes a
day camp t-shirt). A $5.00 fee is charged
for those boys not currently a registered
member of the BSA.
$60 Early Bird Fee if paid in full or

$100 fee if received 7 days prior to camp.

WHO CAN ATTEND
Scouts in 1st-3rd grade in the fall of 2012 as well
as one adult per Scout is invited to participate at
a cost of $30 per guest.
SESSION DATES & TIMES
Scouts have the opportunity to attend one of
three sessions in 2012. Each session starts
at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and ends at 1:00 p.m.

Webelos
resident camp
The Webelos Resident Camp offers
Scouts a 4 day week experience.
This outdoor adventure includes camping, shooting
VSRUWVJDPHVVZLPPLQJDQGFDPSUHVDVZHOODV
webelos pin classes and scout skills. Webelos will have
the option of choosing either 2nd Year Scout Skills or
Three of the following classes: Readyman, Handyman,
Aquanaut, Forester/Naturalist, Geologist, Outdoorsman,
Scientist, Engineer and Sportsman.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Webelos Resident Camp is for Scouts who will be
entering 4th-5th grade in the fall of 2012. Two deep
leadership is required for each webelos den at a cost of
$30 per guest.

Boxwell Reservation
Cubworld, Boxwells cub scout camp, introduces
boys to hiking, exploring, nature conservation as
well as special theme areas including Pirates
Cove, a traditional Native American Village,
Castle and a Western Fort. Dont forget your

FACILITIES
During the summer, Cubworld offers tents on
Wooden platforms with cots and mattresses.
All you will need to bring is your sleeping bag
and pillow. Restrooms are centrally located
throughout the camp with showers, toilets and
running water. Meals are served in a dining
hall facility which offers well balance food in an
air conditioned building. A Trading Post is also
available during the day for snacks, drinks and
souvenirs.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Safety is of the utmost importance at Boxwell.

Boxwell where we maintain an agreement
to treat our sick and injured. A BSA Medical
Form is required by every Scout, adult and
sibling attending camp. You may download the

Service Center for a copy. Please be sure to
complete both Part A (medical information) and
Part B (informed consent).

is located in Lebanon,
Tennessee on Old Hickory Lake,
just 30 minutes from Nashville.
STAFF
No summer camp is complete
without an enthusiastic
staff! Overseen by trained
adult professionals, the
2012 Cubworld Staff will not
disappoint! Ralphie, Jonathan,
Jake, John and Evan are just a
few of the staff members with
jokes, songs and silly antics that
will keep you on your feet during
your stay.

Located at 1284 Creighton Lane,
Lebanon, TN 37087, 3 miles
south of Gallatin on Hwy 109.
From I-40 West take Exit 232,
from I-40 East take Exit 232B.
From the exit, travel north 9.2
miles toward Gallatin. The
entrance to Boxwell Reservation
is located on the left.
