Welcome back to the 2012 school

year! It is always great to see so many smiling happy faces - among both parents and children - as everyone arrives for the start of a new year. The staff are excited about their classes and we are all looking forward to another full and productive year of engaging learning! Today we welcome 10 new families and 14 new students (pictured above) throughout the school this morning: Josh Cocker and parents Megan and Dale (R3), Samantha Koppert and parents Angela and Greg (R7), Benjamin and Hannah Symon and parents Susan and Blair (R5 & R3), Blake Condon and parents Kerry and Peter (R5), Shaun Bennett and parents Jaime and Tony (R7), Taleeha Stewart and parents Melissa and Antony (R4), Dylan and Amy

Marwick and parents, Nicola and Rodger (R3 & R4), Aimee PhibbsGeisser and parents Michelle and Darrell (R6), Peyton Dickson and parents Tania and Logan (R6), Niall Carter and parents Nicky and Connal (R6), and Robson McKee, Lucys little brother (R6) and Hailey Monaghan, Codys little sister who was on a school visit! Our 'Meet the teacher and Community BBQ evening' will be held next Wednesday at 5pm. After a short welcome in the Activity Centre every class will be running 2 sessions which details the 'nuts and bolts' of their programmes. We look forward to seeing everyone here. It's a great chance to touch base with your child's teacher and to catch up with other school families! Early in Week 3 we will be holding our initial 'Goal Setting conferences'

with you, your child and your teacher. These will run over 2 days - Tuesday 14th from 3 - 7.30pm and Wednesday 15th from 1 - 5:30pm. The partnership with you and your child in setting those all important next learning goals for the first half of the school year completes the end of year report summary. We look forward to your participation, along with your child, in this important process for the beginning of a new year! The code to make your online bookings is detailed in the newsletter. Bookmark that school website, which includes the newsletter and the community calendar online, to help keep up to date with all the happenings around school life! Regards
